Haven't been in the dugout in half a year. Due to the fact that I do not take care of it, the shelter began to fall into disrepair. In our region the first snowfalls and I decided to take advantage of this moment and spend time in the dugout instead of in the forest cabin. Perhaps this was my last visit, as I am thinking of dismantling it and chopping it for firewood (no definite decision yet). I finally tried woodcarving, I've been planning it for a long time but didn't dare. As for the first time...the result is not bad. I also tried cutting a bottle with a rope, but it didn't work out. I think because I chose a thick bottle. Anyway, enjoy watching it friends!

I appreciate the subtitle commentary without talking on the video. I turn off sites with chatter. I think most folks want to see and hear the serene action, not the talking.

☕️Good Morning Roman. Nice to see you visiting the dugout. A warm fire to carve by. I think it looks hand done, I like the way it came out. Serves its purpose. Speaking of the dugout. I know you have the beautiful new cabin now, but if the structure of the dugout is solid, would it be wise to keep a backup emergency shelter. Do some touch up repairs. You know what’s best, and will make the right decision. I do remember every inch of building the dugout. Good memories. Take care, 🤗🌹✨

I suggest practicing on soft wood like pine also a shorter blade for the fine work, and most of all always cut away from yourself just in case.

When I think about how much time and work you put into building the hut I don't know if it's a good idea to tear it down, ok if it's not being used and you don't have any more time it's a consideration! If you can continue to use the material, nothing is lost. Your carving turned out great, for the first time!Either way, I think you'll make the right decision for yourself.
