in olympics, judges dont care what the fuck ur scapula positioning is as long as it is straight arms and straight body. in street workout, it matters to them a lot (but that is because they want it cleaner not js some random ass vic)

Bit of a long question, but I had a question and building an aesthetic physique with only statics, your physique is incredible and I’m 5’10, the same high as you, I do basics in my training, but only for hypertrophy to gain size, is there a way to do that with only statics? And if there is, is there a certain way to train and still get stronger at the statics? I’m really skinny and if I could focus on my statics, I would make so much more progress but I’m worried I’ll still be skinny so I put a lot of effort into basic.
Its mostly genetic focused as to how big you get, but you will be asthetic if you get to the level these guys are. Because these movements shouldnt really be possible, it requires an level of strenght from outset. With these types of moves your success weavers heavily on leverages, so where your muscles attach, how long your arms are, how short your torso is, or your legs. The ideal is long arms, short torso, short legs. I have noticed short torso on every single strong calithenics athlete so Id say that is key. How long your arms are compared to torso (Called Ape index). The reason is because in levers, or planche, or any hollow body move, its about getting the balance point (your hands in this case) directly below your center of mass, so the longer your arms, the less you have to lean to balance a planche. The higher the angle at your armpit is, the easier it is. Even if these moves come easy, they come at a significantly higher injury risk, so even if you can, id treat statics as a special skill. Do them when you feel 100% or close. NEVER go to failure in the sets. They are likely to leave you with tendon damage over time. Front lever is probobly the safest. So still Id focus sets around normal bent arm skills, and do mostly prep work for your tendons, they build slower then muscle.
