Absolutely worth the $40USD i spent on it. Even if you can create your own excel spreadsheets this is well worth the price. An absolute time saver. It allows me to speed through the estimating process

Does the material selection include all Shapes/Sizes for Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, etc?

No sorry, only general fabrication “Steel Structurals” as defined by the AISC. Beam, Channel, HSS, Angle, Flat Bar, Pipe and Rod/Round Bar. Hot rolled A36 (44W in Canada).

Hi Sandeep, It all comes down to your Excel/Sheets skills, anything can be tweaked with this spreadsheet as it’s very versatile. These changes seem like they wouldn’t be too bad for an Excel expert.

hi, when I type in the material size box it does not shorten the list down. do I need to change a setting to make it work or something?

Hi Lee, my apologies - the program I am using in the video is Google Sheets, which has this functionality built-in. Unfortunately Microsoft Excel has promised this, but doesn’t have this as a setting yet. If you need a Google Sheets version email me steelestimatingsoftware@gmail.com
