I find myself going back to all your videos a week or two before my spring and fall Muskie trips to Webster lake in Indiana. Your class and navionics recommendations helped me catch 3, lost 5 boatside and at least 30 follows in June. Best trip ever 🎣🍺 Class is in session once again thanks!!

I read Buck's book years ago and the question I had then and now are regarding a thermocline. What do the fish do when a thermocline is present. They can't live below the thermocline due to lack of oxygen. What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for the video Jim! A couple of questions.. When you're working a breakline, what factors determine whether to target the top/shallower edge or the bottom/deeper edge? And if you're fishing the full drop do you prefer deeper-to-shallower or vice versa?

I know this may be a little picky, but aren’t stumps part of the bottom?

Never mind, I ask the question to soon.

So, where are the fish prior to them moving? In deep water sanctuary? Then each day they move up a little closer to shore? And they're moving to feed?

Yes, deep water sanctuary. They become active once or twice a day and move towards the shallows. How far they move depends on the weather and water conditions at the time. They don't necessarily move to feed, but it usually goes hand in hand.

Love the video..Can you recommend a good rod for spoonplugging?

The trolling rod that buck's Baits sells is the best: www.bucksspoonplugs.com/Rods-and-Reels_c_14.html An old baitcasting rod that had a broken tip, that you can make shorter can also make a great trolling rod. A good commercial rod can be an ugly stick brand. They are tough, only issue is they are a bit too long.
