Catch fences back behind the wall exposing the top corner of the concrete to the cars, catch fences incorporated on to the concrete level with the front surface. In this case the wall broke right into the cage, fence level would have prevented this. Tracks safety need to be more focused on driver safety and their wall catch fence designs. Our tracks in Australia get audited so safety standards are being maintained and met. RIP Justin Owen and condolences to the entire Speedway family friends and family.
I send all of my prayers out to the Owens family. It sucks to always seen a racer and a part of the family pass. These are the types of crashes that are always viscous and I hate to see them. It doesn’t look like too much can be done to prevent this from happening but these are the accidents that prompt safety changes. I truly appreciate seeing other series doing the missing man formation to honor a racer and a brother lost

yea I was a rough one knowing that tumbler crash killed that driver, first time I seen a wreck that killed someone, seen many bad ones though especially at the 4 crowns last year in 2022 being there, racing is inherantly dangerous and always will be especially openwheel cars, irony is the driver was that class champion last year at the burg, the dirt race at bristol though was quite a wild show.
However anybody is running now dont matter until the hotter months when tracks get slick then all of the sudden the guys running good early start to fall off which is wierd but they do. We need to see how these tires will really perform when the tracks are constantly slick
@@fivecitydirttracker4776 I'd love to know what Balog was mad about. Video shows Balog hitting the front stretch wall on his own, then drifting left into Randall's car.
@@scottmeckley Agree, I watched race on flo but, did not see or hear about Balogs antics or Chase being lite till now. Looked like a racing deal to me, unfortunate about the wreck and he did move into Chase. IMO ✌️
I have become a big fan of the IRA racing series. They put on some excellent racing as we have seen these last two races. I am a Bill Balog fan but I feel that Chase Randall did nothing wrong...well except be underweight.
The race at 36 was incredible. My 3 year old got to meet his hero(Brad Sweet) and Kasey Kahne. Robbie Price and Spencer Bayston really went out of their way to make him feel special. He called Spencer his buddy all night, and took his autographed picture to Pre School to show off. Watching cars cover 3/8ths mile in 10.5 never gets old.
I do not like or care about Abreu. Sorry you are hooking up with him but money speaks loud. No doubt he has stepped it up with his new crew chief, but it's a long season. We will see how it all works out.
I am sorry to hear that you don't care for Rico. He is incredibly nice to his fans, especially the younger ones. I also believe he is entertaining to watch on the race track. I am glad to see him supporting Justin and his show.
