The barber can do more permanent damage on your character than a raid boss

Let's all take a minute to appreciate the time, nerves and effort Azeroth's barbers put into their job just so our maniacs of player characters get to change from Void Elves to High Elves.

If you want to be a barber in WoW, you're going to need a stack of advanced surgical degrees just to get your foot in the door.

I can't believe how accurate this is, on EU-Argent Dawn (Alliance side) we completely lagged out SW, with 10 sec delays etc.

Never thaught of this, but in hindsight the barbers get to see nightmare fuel everyday. No wonder they have such a deadeye stare all the time. The animations keep getting cleaner every video, great work Captain Grim!

Reminds me of my early times as a cook in a fast food restaurant that gets absolutely crazy in the weekends. "DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FLIP A BURGER?" Me: Huh... yeah duh... "GOOD... The rest you'll learn it by yourself..." As ominous music plays while several other task's unrelated to cooking starts to slowly creep up. Such days, such terrible, terrible days.

Nightborne: "I want you to make my face beautiful, like the npc versions of my people." Barber and the Devs: "HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!" Nightborne: O_O (Literally their in-game facial expression)

Where is our hero Dr. Barber? He would do it without question. "Would you like a haircut, or some surgery?"

I just watched my friend spend 30 minutes in a barber shop right before this video came out

Let’s all take a minute to appreciate the barbers the real Heroes of World of Warcraft I just had an idea they should actually replace all the barbers in the game at some point and just put the old barbers around the world in beautiful and scenic places with their own little houses as NPC’s doing things like fishing, drinking, or sun bathing and give them the title of retired barber and if you find and talk to them they’ll freak out like. “Oh by Azeroth no please adventurer I’m not the barber anymore please leave me be I can’t handle it anymore.”

And now everything makes sense! He's now Dr. Barber from the show The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack!!!

Hey, I haven't really said a whole lot on your channel in a hot minute, but I really feel like I need to come by and say some things I noticed in this video: Seeing all the skills you've built on whilst dealing with Classic models being portrayed here is simply staggering. Your lighting, for example, is to the point where nothing actually seems out of place. As in, I don't see green screen bleeds of any sorts on any of the animated characters, and they fit so friggin' well into the scene. But the main thing I want to mention is the absolutely stellar lip-syncing job you've done here. I've dabbled a small bit in trying to deal with exported WoW models before, and holy fuzzballs the amount of bones you have to work through for facial animations is just overwhelming. I've done some... decently-ish... successful facial animation attempts with the models by attempting to create a whole new face rig, but I would not longer have access to WoW's preset animations by doing so. With that said, I'm seeing you've either discovered a workaround to the fkload of facial bones and/or pushing through the mess to make these facial poses, because I'm seeing the lip syncing even during WoW's usual animation gestures. Which brings me to what I really want to say here: Your lip-syncing is absolutely on-point. Not to mention the lively facial gestures and poses you've added on top of it! I'm floored by how well your work and skills with the Classic models has transitioned to the more detailed Retail models. Even the movements you add to their gestures are becoming less stiff and more dynamic with each passing project! You've always had solid sound balancing, but the nuances of things such as the puff of smoke during dismounting and shapeshifting moments are some of the things that you've done that have always astounded me. I'm getting a feeling you're getting close to a certain skill threshold before you start making potential huge projects akin to Martin Falch's works back in the day. Though, I'd wager you've already got the skills for such an endeavor and it's more of a circumstance of taste, ambition, and time. Also, I'm a bit late on this one, but congratulations on the 100k subscribers! I was hoping and actually expecting this day to come, considering what I was seeing back when I first came across your channel back in the, what, 1k subscriber range? But aye, it's an achievement much deserved for the work, skills, and content you've provided for the WoW RU-vid community, and I do hope it's enough to warrant this to be capable of becoming a full-time career! Well, that is if that's what you're wanting/aiming for to begin with. Though I am currently away from WoW, I do have *possible* plans to come back for Shadowlands. But this time around, I think I'll try my hand at the whole machinima field, considering doing so would work on skills that would greatly benefit my personal end-goals. On top of the fact that, well, it just looks plain fun to do! (It also tends to be the only type of thing I watch WoW-related anyways) You'll most likely never read this considering the, well uh, borderline-thousands of comments you may be getting nowadays, but I just felt like I needed to at least get it out there that I am exceedingly proud to see your channel skyrocket the way it has and that your hard work has been getting proper recognition. Keep on keeping on, Cap'n!
