We finally have an update for you guys on our 1970 twin turbo LSX swapped Chevy Chevelle. That last time you saw this boosted muscle car we had just got it fired up for the very first time. And once it was running, we didn't just stop on the work. We installed our custom driveshaft from Knoxville Drivelines and rolling this Chevelle out the door and to the tuner.
When we pulled up at Tuner Tech down in Miami is when all of our issues started popping up though! Andy had a ton of trouble dialing in our fuel injectors, and once he got that sorted out, we had some throttle body failures. We weren't sweating that part too much. Andy quickly worked his magic on the injectors, and welding on a new ferrel on a replacement throttle body sorted our throttle issue out really quickly.
The main thing that has this car sitting still right now is our transmission. Our DCT requires a special ECU and an even more complex software to run it. Unfortunately the company that we were relying on to provide us software for our transmission had a HUGE falling out. Leaving us dead in the water until we can find a workaround for this transmission issue.
But as soon as we do, we'll have this Twin turbo Chevelle ripping down the road! So make sure to subscribe so you don't miss out!
