Struggling with creative motivation in the pandemic in Bali

Today's video is an attempt to show you why I haven't been uploading videos lately and to offer my take on the challenges we as photographers or content creators are going through during the pandemic. The coronavirus has impacted our lives in every way, from freedom of movement to the way we work when we are not permitted to travel the world. My productivity has suffered and I've been lagging a sense of direction. This is how I've survived the last three months without travel - a closer look at my life through “The defining feature of 2020”.

of course it matters what do you. I feel down and question everything all the time, but then you just keep going. Being more sensitive is a part of being creative. Pain is important, it brings you interesting places. Bali looks beautiful. Cruise through this. Maybe make more youtube videos sharing your emotions. It's good for everyone. Peace :)

Thanks for sharing Christian - it's mirrors a lot of my own experience of the COVID-19 shut-down. It's sometimes very difficult to find motivation amongst so much uncertainty, especially when your business / life is built around travel. But despite my own bouts of depression and ennui, I'm optimistic about the future. It's evident from what I've been hearing from friends around the world that people are desperate to get out, especially out into nature. I think things will take a while to normalise, people will travel less for the next 2-3 years, and then I reckon numbers will return to pre-corona levels. But I agree that less travel, in a more conscientious & appreciative way, will be a good thing, especially for the environment. I wish you all the best, and hope your back exploring and sharing beautiful photos and videos soon!

Thank you for this, and I think you’re right a about your predictions about international travel and desires in people who loves to travel. Once there’s a vaccine, that’s going to be the game changer in this. I honestly can’t wait to go climbing and adventuring again, I really miss the unknowns and excitements involved in exploration and going to new places. Looking forward to my little spinn through Germany soon and hope to be back in Asia after 3 months back home with more energy and hopefully possibilities to go to places haha.. Right now I'm optimistic, tomorrow that might change again. haha. lets see. I try to trust the process.

Thanks for all your wonderful feedback. 2020 was a heartbreaking year for me. So many big dreams shattered in a matter of weeks. I’m definitely back up again, but something still isn’t right, right?
