Who are three of your favorite drummers in punk right now? JB: I think there are a lot of great drummers. That kid Kye Smith, he’s from Australia, he’s been doing all these medley drumming videos for RU-vid. He looks like he is just really killing it. He looks so relaxed and everything while he’s playing. I haven’t seen him play a whole lot of his own stuff, but he’s pretty rippin’.
Best Strung Out drum chronology on the net! Kye - you dominate yet again - an appropriate nod to the brilliant drums of Jordan, executed with perfection
Almost a decade old 🤘🏻🤘🏻😁😁 this is the video that got me into Strung Out and ur channel 🙌🏻 Would love to see an updated version with their latest albums to celebrate 10 years of the video
I know practically the whole catalog of Fat Wreck Chords on guitar. I wish I knew you in person and we could create the sweetest cover band ever! Sick chops bro!
Yeah he's really great! I never got into strung outs later albums a whole lot but I still play them because they're so tight. JB doesn't get mentioned a whole lot, which is kinda surprising because his chops are so strong.
Every video he/you do is great, but I just don't understand how you skip the entire Element of Sonic Defiance album, especially given that was the first released after Jim's passing, and goes in a totally different direction.
@@7CardFlushPoker well when Jim left the sound changed completely most of the songs on the first three records and skinny years were written by Jim he was their lead Lyricist he was in Pulley as well and you could tell their songs changed when Jim sent to form zero down
Okay Im a really big fan of Strung Out and NUFAN, and Im curious: Do you think it’s possible to (if someone has an extreme devotion to drums) get to the level of playing some skate punk drums in about two months?
