You can save a Favorite setting on your blueSky by dialing in your tone and pressing and holding down the Favorite Switch for a couple of seconds. When you want to recall your favorite setting simply click on that switch. When it is off, the reverb sound will be whatever you have the knobs physically set to.
In the last 6 months I've gone through many, many pedals looking for my sound w/ no backround hiss/static. It's tough because I go stereo out directly into the board and you can hear absolutly everything. I tried EHX, Keeley, BOSS, etc and many had cool sounds but all had a hiss to them underlying the sound, especially when turning up the effect. Finally I tried an El Capistan and to my shock it was DEAD SILENT and it sounded amazing. Better then any other tape delay I'd tried previously. Best of both worlds. So now I just just got done ordering a Blue Sky and it should be at my door anytime now. Couldn't be more excited. From here on out I'll only play Strymon. You guys are a fantastic company. Thank you. Scott in SoCal
I just love my BlueSky and El Cap. I have the eventide H3000 D/SE, 8000FW and the roland RE 201 and I still go to these two pedals all the time. As great as my other effects are these have something that the others don't. So happy to have mine.
@SmallFish616 Thanks for the feedback. What exactly would you like to know about the mod types? Also, the TimeLine is currently back ordered but we are taking pre-orders.
Excellent two parts demo. Excellent product. I only wish it had at least one programmable preset in each mode, like my EHX Cathedral has. Because this Reverberator sounds better IMHO. Especially the spring reverb type. And it certainly has a LOT more controls. Thanks.
i wish you would emphasize and elaborate more on the mod types for each reverb. beautiful pedal, I love all of your stuff, thanks so much for making them. oh btw when will the timeline be available again?
sounds so good i might throw up. seriously. Ive never spent this much on a pedal, but this seems 100 percent worth it. this is definately next up on my list of pedals to buy
I would LOVE to have one these. I was wondering; with the left&right ins and outs, are they completely separate? What I'm getting at is; if I were to run my guitar in the left and a vocal mic into the right input, would the gtr only come out the left output and vox only out the right? Sort of like a splitter box, only with all this creamy goodness all over it. Keep making MOAR PEDALZ. Strymon Rules.
Great stereo demo ! Thanks. Before I commit to buying this, one question: is it possible to have a favourite preset per mode, or is it a single one overall ?
I want to buy this great pedal but want to make sure I can use two types of reverbs by pressing only a button. I remember seeing in some video how to record the Favorite presset but I don't remember in which one. Could you specify? Thank you!
I just picked up the Blue Sky Reverb pedal. Its hooked to my pedal board running through the effects loop of my Combo Amp. The powered combo amp is a Marshall DSL 40 with a 16 OHM speaker. I have a Marshall 1960 4X12 16 OHM speaker cab in to the Marshall(Cab in 8ohm input, amp in 2nd 8 OHM input for a total of 5, 16 OHM speakers. Where would be the proper in/out connections be on the Blue Sky for this set up? I can't find any info on this. Thank you!..Bryan
If you're just placing it in the effects loop, you just want to connect the effects send to the LEFT IN of the blueSky, and then take the LEFT OUT of the pedal and connect it back to the effects return of the effects loop. Never connect an amp out/speaker out connection or anything that is not line/instrument level to the pedals though.
@strymon hey I bought the blue sky and I tried at first using a regular 9v but it started blinking. I then used the one you provide and it worked fine. Does the blinking mean it was damaged?
I just traded my SA Ventris with a guy who had a Blue Sky. The Blue Sky IMHO is a more natural sounding reverb compared to the Ventris. I think I got the better of the deal!
Hi Mike, Yes, this used to be one of our products under Damage Control. It is now discontinued, you can read up on it at damagecontrolusa (.) com /products/
Personally, I'd like to be able to hear the mod type on each mode. But mine is supposed to be here by Thursday...so maybe I'll just find out then haha.
Gorgeous sound....But...Doesn't "Damp" usually mean to REDUCE (dampen) the high or low frequencies? Rather than increase the specified tonal range? Nevertheless, this strange reversal of standard terminology does not dissuade or DAMPEN my enthusiasm for these fine products ;-)
I think you should change your name to Dr. Strymon and start speaking in a cartoonishly evil super-villain voice. Confess that your pedals are, in fact, mind control devices produced for the purpose of world domination. Ok maybe not. But it might be fun.
