Nice demo Joel! Best one of this pedal I have heard/seen so far. A good range of tones and playing with solo patterns and chording. Contrary to some comments I think the Marshall was a good choice. I enjoyed it because you used A) a great guitar!, and B) a very good amp. As good as this demo was, it would be helpful to hear all OD's demo'ed into a driven amp as well. Many of us play through driven amps and want to use dirt to add different tones and sculpting, and many OD pedals don't do well into already driven amps. But thanks for this, nice job, and hearing soloing patterns as well as chords was very helpful!
Good points there. I'd also like to add that it's really helpful to hear the pure sound of the amp with the pedal in bypass. It was cool how he moved from change to change in a fluid manner. It would have been cool to occasionally remind us of the base tone that this is engaging with. That's why they serve ginger next to the wasabi. Let's clear the palette a bit, so to speak.
Pedal sounds fucking awesome, not sure what some of the comments are on about in this thread. I'm sure the Chase Bliss Brothers pedal sounds mighty excellent as well. Can't they both sound good? I understand this is a digital pedal and that's a deal breaker for some, but Jesus this pedal sounds good. Great demo, Joel! Loved the Thin Litzy riff and major props for Ogre Battle! That tone was absolutely perfect for that riff.
There is barely a week that goes by in my life, for years and years, where Queen II didn't get a spin. I was so stoked to hear that riff there and yeah, it was totally spot on!
Is it the best, warmth, smother dual OD pedal on the market for blues to high. Massif rock and everything between ? Thanks for you answer ...kind regards and thanks for your answer
Hi, happy new year ! Sorry to bother you but I look for a warm 2 channel OD pedal ( simple use, not so many pots!) to play all form blues, crunch to classic rock ! I have now a Jetter gold standard ...love the 2 channels but am not so happy with it in my Fender deluxe reverb with my es 335 or Les Paul P90 reissue ....Thanks for you help and answer , kindest regards from France
Seems kinda silly to demo this with a Marshall, because marshals aren't really lacking great overdrive all by themselves. It would be great to hear this demo'd with a Fender because they are the ones that need the help.
I have both the Sunset and the Riverside on my board. I find the Sunset to be more gritty and Riverside more amp-like warm. The Sunset also requires some tweaking to find a good crunch or heavy metal tone (Wish Strymon included a 3-band EQ for at least B-side), while the Riverside is easier on that. At this point I still prefer the Riverside, but I need to spend more time with the Sunset, maybe give it a chance at the next band rehearsal.
To say Frankly, still, sound not bad but not up to the fame in FX pedal Series. PUT TigerShark DSP in to pedal form. (TINY axe fx?) Dist sound in axe fx thru that chip is so great. i am sure that will give u guys furtune

Guys,I really appreciate your job; no ofense, but ALL YOUR DEMOS SOUND SO FUZZY, FIZZY, HARSHY, SO 70'S, SO ZEPPELINish. I don't know why but it's a fact, I love the image, but the sound could be better in my humble opinion, anyways, I know your doing a good job, and maybe it's your style but think that same products sounds sooo different in other reviews. Again, with love. Félix.
prettdboy Chase Bliss man! Honeslty Strymon is great but Chase Bliss is the absolute highest quality and I can tell you from using the Strymon Riverside this wont sound as good as the Brothers... not even close... and you still have more tweaking options with brothers than with this... I watched the whole video, yes he gets different tones, but nothing even close to what you can do with the chase bliss
Chris P. Bacon Hot garbage. I thought the same thing from another clip I heard as well, maybe it's because I don't like TS style pedals in general but from what I've heard of this it is really nothing special
Neil Jan ... Who are you, his agent? Let me tell you something about Rabea Mossad, this is a guy who, while on tour and staying with friends/fans in the states, eats up all the hummus, chick peas, tofu, doritos and beer he can find in your house, turns the thermostat up to 78° while listening to music AND watching hentai movies on blast till 6 am before he wakes up around 5pm, right before you get home from work and takes a fucking 45 minute shower BEFORE he takes a 20 minute, 5 pound, 3 coil, steaming vegan shit. Then walks out and says nothing to you about the toilet which is clogged with muddy wet wipes which he, apparently, brings on the road with him for these very instances. So honestly bro, fuck his demo and via guilt by association, fuck YOU!
The initial setting and the beginning sounded like a generic distortion pedal, not impressive, to me at least. Luckily, the subsequent demos of other settings are very impressive. I prefer vintage sounds up to and including early EVH. My favorite OD and longtime resident of my pedalboard is a Tone Monk Seed of Life. I LOVE the Seed of Life, but I worry about not having a backup OD should it go belly up at a gig. Good demo!
Shame they are ripping off Chase Bliss after the disappointment of the Riverside... but hey, everyone has ripping off Strymon for years, so you guys go for it... I returned my Riverside and got the Brothers from chase bliss, I really believe and hope that the analog chase bliss will sound better, I was not impressed at all with the Riverside so that seems like a safe bet...
I love how people are automatically lumping this pedal into the Riverside like they are the same pedal. The Riverside is meant to sound like an amp with multiple gain stages, and this pedal is meant to mimic overdrive pedals on the market. I'm not saying the Chase Bliss brothers isn't good, but they're both good pedals, and each fits different styles. Buy both.
The insecurity of you Chase bliss fanboys is pretty funny. I get it, you like the Chase bliss, but going on a Strymon video and saying it's "awful", when you don't have the pedal, just makes you sound like a fanboy.
