Great Idea thanks for sharing. I'm looking to do this to my 800 cfm Greenworks 80V Blower. I think I will try to find a better solution for the wrap around band, Will try to get one made of a plastic or Rubber of some kind, I am afraid i might nick the paint with that sharp tightening screw or extra band that sometimes tends to stick out. Thanks again.
You are an engineer in training. Great video. Do you know the Home Depot SKU (part number) for the adapter? Yes, those batteries are very heavy. I dropped one on my foot once. Ouch!
Outstanding methodology. The smaller nozzle is supposed to concentrate the airflow out of the blower increasing it's speed. I'm sure that having that coupler on your blower has that same effect. The shorter length increases the CFM rate. That combination makes it perform better than the long nozzle. And for 8 bucks? PFFFT! Let me go get one once my EGO gets here! One RU-vidr did the no attachment test, but with the Blowerband around the unit so it was still protected. Back then, it was $8. Now that same Blowerband is $20. For that, I was thinking of just putting a mountain bike inner tube at the end of it and trimming it back and you'd have some protection for free basically. You can get used inner tubes for free at a bike shop and the ones from a "fat tire" mountain bike should fit easily. 😂 Your car must feel like Jennifer Beals in "Flashdance" in the chair scene!
Thank you. Two of my neighbors and I can't get the Stubby nozzle off my blower even after doublechecking the videos. We've tried everything we could. I contacted them and they sent me a link to the same video we've already watched a dozen times. I aksed what else I could do, and they stopped responding. So I'm going to have to cut this nozzle off with my Dremel, not recommend buying the nozzle and just going with this alternative instead. Both wiser and less expensive.
The coupler attachment doesn’t have a very smooth transition causing turbulence in the cone, and I would assume that’s why the no attachment worked better
Thanks for posting. So the only reason you're using a coupler is to protect your paint, correct? If yes, you can also just by the rubber band. I believe they sell for about 15.00. Just my two cents
Yeah you can, just be careful you don’t nick the car. Having the attachment helps if you make a mistake and hit the car it won’t scratch it or chip the paint because the attachment is soft. No attachment is hard and will leave a mark.
