I hauled cars all around Chicago in the 80s and 90s and is absolutely a nightmare with all the low bridges.

That one thing I miss is driving

Like I told you the second you put that grill cover on you will have overheating problems. You are not getting enough air through those tiny holes. It looks good but is not good for cooling. It was a nice piece from SH tube but it’s impractical. You can’t go against physics. It’s like a restrictor plate nascar used to run in their cars to slow them down. That just caused more accidents because nobody could get out of the way for the other guy to get through and bunched up all the cars. Get rid of that grill or you will burn up your engine.

How come you never used the boat trailer you use to haul with everything would have been a bit lower?

When you watch other trucking channels, most of the guys are gentle on the pedal. This guy was driving down the open road, literally pumping on the accelerator. With turned up engines, and that amount of playing on the pedal, his fuel economy must be terrible.

So what happened at the bridge you didn't fit under? All of the sudden you were somewhere else and moving again?

I thought that gent in your last video was hired full time to do your videos.

Moving at night eventually put the oversize sign on not sure if there was any flags. No seat belt but he always wears one 😂 really makes you wonder if there was even a permit . And if he hauls all these oversize loads why is there only one little strobe

My question is why was you so close to your pole truck? I’ve always road my permits out ahead of time when possible and if it’s a big big load no matter what I run the route. And a proper escort should be pretty familiar with pulling out of a area like that unless this is his first day on a job or it’s someone you use a lot and if you have been coming for years how did you not know from previous experience. Little confusing I guess if you been picking up for years you should know the area and should definitely do alittle planning once you seen your permit route went and atleast used map or got online and looked.

Them sending you that way is as bad as around here southern Ohio this road is the curvie est and hilly road at least 1 or 2 die on this road every summer state route 555 I have seen the idiots sending over size loads down this road trucks get stuck trying to get around corners and up hills they had to get a wrecker company to pull them up the hills they bottomed out trailers and just couldn’t make the hills

For an experienced heavy haul oversized driver you don't seem to read provisions. Since you are experienced owner operator , that works on trucks, why didn't you pin your fan? You knew it wasn't working that night. Makes great entertainment for those who wonder

They shift like that just by tapping the gas no tune you romp a hear then hit vital and tap the gas twice let it fall in the next gear and repeat they will even tap the gas after it’s already in gear all there doing is tapping the gas

Why would you have a grill cover on a truck that’s running in the hot weather? if you were in the cold weather and up north I could see it, but it’s not helping you out any where you’re at and where you’re running in the summer.

When i drove to Shittyago Illinois i was constantly checking for low bridges because old Chicago has a bunch of low bridges that rigs cannot pass under!!! 10'-12' tall bridges everywhere & you better be doing your homework because i don't know how many rigs i saw with tops ripped off of trailers or stuck under bridges there! I hated my bills of laden to say Shittyago Illinois! Because i had to do special routing & maping plans for evey trip i done there! This was the days of no MapQuest or GPS just good ole Rand McNally paper & laminated maps from the Truck Stops 🚛 that listed low bridges. I Also had a collection or library in my sleeper of county maps for each state i done a lot of running to. Now they have all that on cell phone 📱 internet apps that does it all at your fingertips. Trucking 🚛 is much easier now with Garmin and mapping apps we didnt have way back Then. 😂

2:07 tim what you need to do is invest into one of those trailers that those bolts are on that open up that are hydraulic That's what you need to be getting to move the big boats it would make your life way easier
