The buttons are an ergonomic disaster even with bare hands and with gloves if you ride, throw this helmet. Battery replacement is a good feature though.
Ideally yes if you are riding in rain then generally water will not get in but if you submerge it in water or the water seeps in the circuit then it will not be protected.
