when I attended SIUE from 1985 too 1989, conservatives were the ones spewing hate. But two African-American students who were elected to Student Government positions - Craig McIntosh and Byron Hicks - led the attack on a newly formed LGBTQ group on campus. they were aided by some white conservative students, namely student body president Ray Campbell, his assistant Ray Muniz, student senator Paul Ramee and graduate student Joe Leach. Today, however, it's the radical left who are the big troublemakers on campus. My oh my, how things never change. Seems like everyone of every stripe wants to oppress everyone else. It's the only way they'll feel safe. I can't say I miss SIUE, especially being from Madison, Wisconsin, the epicenter of left-wing extremism. I live in Israel nowadays and I wish nothing but luck to the United States. Mazel tov! Heather Czerniak SIUE Class of 1989
He is wasting his time. Unfortunately. we can not complain or depend on laws when minorities are attacked for taking such majors. Marching and protesting doesn't work either.
Let me get this strait. He was a member of the fraternity that was hazing him? This does not make sense. I know students might want to join a fraternity. But the reality is that their goals may be very different than yours, especially if you are an engineering student. Fraternities are not known for being LGBTQ friendly. So why would you expect anything else?
