I amazed at how soon after taking your nail classes that Serena did such a professional manicure. She utilized the gel, the sandwich technique and acrylic along with the chrome powder and topped it off with a hand painted flower!!! Wow!!! Suzie I'd be shaking and rumbly doing your nails. Suz, you are and always have been such a lovely person. I just wanted to commend and congratulate you on your Magazine. I wore acrylic nails for 30 years and when I was financially unable to do so anymore, I mourned and mourned like losing a friend. I have watched your vids this summer, and you are very patient and kind to show those of us who have not gotten beautician's licensing (required here where I live to be able to do nails, and I *think* it takes 1-2 years, which I do not have available.) I continually learn from my mistakes, some of which I learned WHAT I was doing in error, from reading your magazine today! Loved your new student nail tech, as you see by my name, I am partial to PINK as well haha I am sure we will see her on youtube someday in the near future! I was very interested in the be mi raspberry foil gel, and since I live in the USA, I see it is a purely Canadian company, that sells only to those nail techs with certifications, :( Thank you for all you do, I feel like you are my friend. @@TheRealHappyG haha! I just buy cosmetic grade glitter (pink of course!) I use a little bit of pink blush first then dab on some paw paw ointment (you could use a bit of vaseline or something similar) , tip you don't need a lot just enough so the glitter will stay all day. Then I just use a small brush and dab on my glitters. I'm using 4 different pink ones at the moment, cos well you know you can never have too much Pink! Haha! 😉 Just have some fun! You can use any colour glitters, just make sure you buy cosmetic grade! I cannot believe she was new to acrylic prior to Suzies class! Outrageously beautifully done!!! I have noticed on other channels that flat flat nails seem to be abundant. Is this a new trend or just inexperienced stylists that don't get the structure that's important? I would be so nervous doing Susie's nails, this pink girl is brave and confident!
Flat nails will be more likely to break. Structure is very important! Definitely inexperienced nail techs do this all the time, others are just stingy with their product and don’t want the nails to last super long either so that the clients come back more. I do my own acrylics and have literally had them on for over a year with doing regular fill ins. I probably should let my nails breath more but it just shows how long acrylic nails can last when done properly.
I've noticed this too yet every time I say something I get my head bit off saying something about it can be flat if its just overlay, mine are overlay but I still put an apex in not a huge one but I do.

My friend from school would be in love with these nails. She literally has like, a pink obsession. All she wears is pink (brand and color) or black, mostly pink though so this made me laugh a little.
Wonderful job!!! I want to take your class even though I am a cosmetologist we don't learn about nails. We get just the basics and we have to develop and teach ourselves. I want to be well rounded in all of the Beauty industry. One day I will be in your class Suzie!!!
Suzie has such a calm and positive attitude. She corrects with such kindness and gives constructive feedback. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a teacher/trainer.
