The amount of disrespect from those boys was horrible. But honestly, I feel it is a little unrealistic. I have been to around three schools in three completely different areas, and never has a boy gotten distracted from what a girl has chosen to wear. Honestly, I feel that the teachers are looking at girls more than the boys are.

The true problem with Dress codes is not so much the code itself places have rules and even though these particular rules are pretty stupid that itself is not a huge deal but the way that teachers address the issue is entirely unacceptable commenting on a Child’s clothing loudly in front of the whole class is not appropriate and is extremely damaging

I once got dress-coded, so one of the supervisors sent me to the “office” and the second I walked in they were confused why I was in there; so it means I was not even distracting anyone only that ONE supervisor… for no REASON

whats sad is that in middle school on the last day of school most of the girls all agreed to wear regular shorts that u would wear in the summer and there was about 20-30 girls sent to the office that day and all the teachers and admin acting superior to the dress code and completely invalidated the point we were trying to get across by being like "oh well we dont care we are just going to send all the girls to the office it doesnt matter how many there are."

Boys should never be allowed to comment on girl’s apperance. At the end of the day, people should be able to wear what ever they want to and feel comfortable in without being judged!

Y'know, my grandma was telling me about how when she was in highschool, she couldnt wear pants and she would always get dress coded for their skirts being to short. So because of this, some girls in her school would wear the shortest mini skirts and sit in the front rows in class in the male teachers classes to distract the teachers just to change the dress code. And it worked. After that, the girls could finally wear pants.

I've taught in schools and honestly the girls outfits here are perfectly acceptable for school if there's no uniform, they aren't in bra tops and hot pants, and they look smart and clean. Schools should have a sensible and fair dress code and that applies to any pupil or teacher. These rules apply when you go to work as well so it's good practice. Even with a uniform in place like we have in UK schools boys do sometimes make comments about girls, even if they are in trousers, because of girls different shape, and it can make them self conscious, although some girls roll their skirts up high so the boys will look at them, they are open about this. So even uniform doesn't fix the issue. I think these young ladies handled the unfairness very well and even got the old science teacher on board and the boys.

It’s so annoying, if any girl middle schooler at my school shows the tiniest bit of skin you get an office referral and sent to the office, but 6th and under doesn’t get dress coded. The thing that’s worse is there is this guy at my school that wears low rise jeans and shirt cropped tops and is in middle school and never gets dress coded. My friend confronted a teacher about it and how annoying it is, the teacher didn’t care and made dress code even stricter only for girls tho😭 im done with the sexism

Sexual harassment can be for both genders, as a girl i dress in oversized clothes but still get harrased, my friend that is a boy gets harassed for wearing a bit shorter clothes and has a feminine body style. What to do if this happens to you: 1. Tell an adult don't keep to yourself!! 2. Stand up to them, don't let them treat you like that. 3. Ignore them. this channel is great and super relatable. This is what i had to go through before, lots of boys staring at me and male teachers too. The skirts at my school aren't allowed above the knee, and we have to ask to take our blazer off. I go to an all girls school with uniform. But we have to ASK to take OUR blazers off. It's crazy. And when we have non uniform days, no tank tops, no belly showing. No exposing knees. If you think American rules are bad then you should come to Britain 😂

Women are more than their bodies, I understand that some people are conditioned to think this way as we are long influenced by patriarchy. so let us young ladies, correct them, us women are intelligent, diligent, passionate, driven and so much more than what you think we are. Rather than agreeing with other people who are against with us trying to defend ourselves we can restrain ladies to express ourselves through fashion, we need to teach young girls about their value and worth and teach boys to respect. Something like this happened to me! Me and 3 other friends did a twin day where we would wear the same clothes. I have bigger b00bs than my friends so when a teacher saw me in a top that was too "low cut" I got detention but all my other friends didn't! I asked all my guy friends and they said it looked fine! I get if some schools have uniforms, that's different but, some dress codes can be very sexist and it really has to change. I'm tired of being dress-coded bc I'm curvier than my friends, it makes me feel like something is wrong with my body! Boys, girls, no one should be able to comment on a girl's appearance! A substitute teacher at my homeroom class dress coded girls for wearing ripped jeans, and crop tops. There’s something really wrong with this dress code situation.

I when I was in 6th grade this dude verbally assaulted me, he did little hand motions of “what he wanted to do with me.” Ofc I did not like it but, I did stand my ground, I waited 3 days to tell a teacher about it. It made me wonder why I didn’t wanna tell my parents, my parents got mad at me for not telling them about the dude basically trying to make me his gf but after all of this, he said that I was accusing him of raping me, you would ask yourself what?, Right? You could tell he was that dum just by not knowing what the hell assault is. I stood my ground after that every. Single. Day. Pls remember that you should not be scared to tell someone about this if this is happing to you. And last but not least what I want every girl to remember, boys don’t have control over girls.

this is so good to watch and i hate how this happens in school especially girls.

I get the point, and this has to fit into time allotted, but also know jerks... so the school board (usually full of jerks) would just come back taking the girls dress code and say the same exact code applies to all genders equally, and not relax any of the rules... still dress coding all the girls but saying its equal now. Rules are rarely even enforced equally, even if written that way... we have so much work to do as a society.
