Speaking of student loans, here's how you can minimize the cost and actually get medical schools to give you $200k in scholarships: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sX5PGr1NzOQ.html
I've wanted to be a surgeon since I was a kid. I'm currently in University for my undergrad. Every time I get discouraged I come to your channel for not only a boost, but a reality check. Thanks for making these. It helps me stay focused on getting to where I want to be ❤️
the government, schools, and loan companies have partnered to keep tuition high. Then they try to "help" you pay it off even though they caused the whole problem
The government is the problem. They passed unconstitutional laws that took away bankruptcy protections. They then guarantee the loans. It's not a concidence that college costs went up faster after Obama kicked out private loan companies.
@@The_Revolutionist no they shouldn't. Then again after premed i switched to engineering even though i had a 29 mcat score. 200k of medical school debt kept me out
@@thedude5040 Yes, they should. Education is a human right, just like healthcare. Bernie's plan would also have canceled your "200k medical student debt" instantly if you attended medschool before College for All. So you shouldn't have switched to engineering for that reason... you made a mistake here.
@@The_Revolutionist university education is not a basic right, bernie is wrong. Post secondary education is a privilage. On a macro level the united states does not have enough money for free education.
@@thedude5040 Yes it has. If Europe can already afford it, then America can also afford it now. There should be no more privileges in today's advanced and civilized societies. Are you saying you're a primitive society? More primitive than Europe?
Med school can wait. I'll have to learn how to be financially independent and learn more about stocks and forex then i can use that leverage to pay for my tuition fees and do well on my premed years
Student Loans is still a foreign concept to me, probably because it's not common. Here in the PH the only ways to pay for the tuition fee in Medical School are scholarships or those who can afford it (based on other people's and my family physician's experiences). Thanks for the informative video.
Thank you for sharing about the cost of medical school. The more hear it, the better I feel about the shortcomings that that prevented me from even getting to the point where I would stress about it. I love the student debt loan management videos because it helps me make smarter choices about taking out a hmm loan in the future.

Why is the cost of school going up , but yet these school teach the same recycled info year after year. You would assume with advancing of technology would lead to decreasing tuition. Makes no sense.
You graduate, you are not employed in your field of study, you take some underpaid odd job, and yet you are still require to pay back your student loans. This should be a crime.
Same here. I did a rotation in Argentina where medical students have a free education along with German students and linked med schools between Argentina and Germany. the students there are debt free and able to get a residency in the US. A huge slap to the face to anyone who attends offshore Caribbean schools like SGU. However they don't want you to know this.. obviously to make money. Overall the US education system is all about selling the American dream. Something that's a shame. If I could turn back time I would have gone to another country medical school.
ahhh I hate when people say they cant go to college because they're broke! Man i came to the US when i was 15, i learned how to speak English, and at the same time i did well in high school!. Once i applied to college i decided to create a construction company which it helped me to pay for my college and get experience in the construction field. You can do it !!!
Shant Ohanian He knew that he wouldn’t get financial help from his parents, so he knew that he’d have to “front” it. The scholarship was his way of paying for it and “fronting” the cost. In a previous video, he said that the scholarship covered almost everything, but he did still have a few expenses to account for after all was said and done. Hope this helps!
Try going to med school for a year and having to quit after first year because you no longer have money to attend. And, you no longer qualify for loans because your parents no longer make more than 70k. Ya that's Canada. Story of my life
In India we have both government funded medical schools and private med schools For getting into govt ones you have to give an exam in which like 1,500,000 students compete for 60,000 seats Well at least we don't have student loan crisis
@@irene.5798 those are for rich kids you have to pay like 60 lac inr which is equal to 83000 dollars just to get in You really don't have to be smart to be a doctor if you are rich, just get the minimum qualifying scores
I have no help for college but Fafsa and my other scholarships cover my tuition and books so I’m basically there for free. I’m not sure how to go to medical school if I have no help from anyone, I don’t want to rely on loans for everything

I can vouch for Gina when it comes to credit related problems and clearing of debt i don’t know how she did it but she increased my scores from 496 to 795 and and cleared all my credit card debt she did it professionally in a short period, she is a life saver guys. You can reach out and tell her i referred you Creditmasterfixllc?com or email her on GINA at CREDITMASTERFIXLLC dot COM You won't believe it until you see it.
Hello! Can you create a video discussing the potential lucrativeness of pursuing a NIH-funded MSTP program as a pathway for financing medical school? I am genuinely interested in developing research competence as well.
Could u tell me the steps for becoming a doctor from high school and forward? I know you’ve done videos and stuff that talks about certain steps but I would still like to be told
Imo the best option is: do nursing but take advanced biology and chemistry classes. Always seek out shadowing oppertunities. This way when you graduate you have medical experience when you apply to med schooo. Also if you fail to get into medical school you at least have the bsn degree for a cool $60k starting wage

so my school is offering me $41,000 which cuts my cost down to $13,000 per year and I am terrified because my family is not showing any sign of wanting to pay.they said community but the community college does not have my major. i am trying to apply for last minute scholarships (it being late May and all) and i am trying to consider whether or not student loans are worth it and where to look. if anyone can please help me that would be great bc i am having breakdowns from the panic and worry my family is causing me.

Wow! I didnt believe they really work, I thought my sister was just ranting about how fast Gina got her credit fixed lol. Thats really nice, I'll definitely check them out now.
In community college, just major in biology, chemistry, anything in science. You don’t have to major in a science to go a medical school as long as you take the prerequisites for med school

So I can max federal loans and get private? My schools coa doesn’t take into consideration my 10 month olds needs in addition to my wife being his caretaker
Glad I live in Australia where student debt isn't a concern for us! Almost seems a bit depressing in the US. Your debt doesn't even leave you when you're bankrupt?? Sounds awful. Also, 10% interest! How is that even legal?
@@ellenrushanian6882 For Australian citizens it costs 10k a year which gets put on your HECS debts. Basically you only pay when you're earning above a certain salary, so if you're not earning enough money you don't have to pay.
Hey, thanks for the great video! my daughter like to do running start for two years in community college (pre-med courses) and do another 2 years in pre-med college. if she does like that, do you think she can get admission to a good medical college? We leave in Seattle Washington.
literally I never imagine u people suffer this much for going to uni, I am bowing for you surviving all of that, we have free education here that's why I am saying that('_')

Post 9/11 Chapter 33 GI bill. College was free and I was paid 2300 dollars a month in living expenses. Also did workstudy, Going to school was very lucrative
As a person on uni in country with free education I have no idea why I am watching. Our uni even pays us like $100 per semestr just becouse. We dont have to pay anything exept housing (we dont have campus so we rent apartment in the city) and food.

Fischer Cushing it’s literally impossible for so many people. I’m guessing you either had help from someone or you had fantastic grades and got merit based scholarships.
