Netanyahu and other Israeli government officials have themselves stated multiple times, in some instances after asking to have cameras recording them to be turned off although they weren’t, “from the river to the sea” meaning that Gaza & the West Bank supposedly are part of the state of Israel. 2. Assuming you have heard actual protesters saying these words, either in person or in videos, that still doesn’t mean these protesters should be intimidated or arrested. You know, freedom of speech. Lastly, your argument doesn’t change the fact that the Israeli government has the blood of at least 35k Palestinians on their hands, and the U.S., U.K. and other Western governments are complicit in these mass killings. And that’s without all the dead people under the rumbles and that have already died and will die due to insufficient food & water, lack of health care and lack of power.

We all got upset, and said it was wrong when the January 6th rioters chanted “hang Mike pence” it’s no different, and that type of speech should be condemned, and called out!

There is no way you can talk about this situation without speaking about Hamas and Hezbollah. It would make no sense. Read up on Hamas and Hezbollah and you'll see what they have done. Anyone who spoke up for victims in 2015 Paris at the Batackan cannot rightfully refuse to condemn what was done in October 7th. And we have seen people not calling out the Isreali right-wing gvtment (and by the way Israelis have been manifesting against Netanyahu even before October 7th) but they have been saying 'the jews'. It crosses often the line into Antisemitism. It is okay to criticise governments and fight against war. But as an African woman who has studied history and who has also faced racism, l can say for certain l see a lot of Antisemitism going on.

If you watch the videos, they are are not saying Cease fire now (Hamas has rejected 2 cease fires that Israel has just proposed) - they are flying Hezbollah flags, they are saying we are Hamas (2 recognized terrorist groups) and saying "Burn Tel Aviv to the ground". As to war crimes Hamas has already revised down the numbers of the dead, the lives of Gazans are the responsibility of the Hamas government under international law. Anna said it, there could be peace right now but it’s only Hamas refuses all offers of peace. Israel abuses in Gaza should be a separate issue from a war started by very cruel & violent acts on innocent people. The aggressor was the extreme group of Hamas who often is the ruling group in Palestine. When does the hatred & body counts begin to be counted in this region? Please be sensitive when stating body counts from extreme groups. Hamas started this war, they are not victims. They create victims including innocent people in Palestine by the act of war they made in October. As a black woman, when I saw a group of white men with a confederate flag near campus before I was told that it was their right to fly whatever flag they wanted to and unless they directly threatened me nothing could be done. I find it very interesting that some groups of people think that hate exists in a vacuum. If we’re going to be honest, let’s also be honest about the fact that the same people that are discussing antisemitism now never once in their careers have brought up anti-blackness or Islamophobia. You may not have it both ways. Either you speak out against all hate, or you keep your mouth shut.

Sunny lives by the teachings of her religion. Just as do Orthodox Jews. They have no quarrels with Palestinians or Arabs of any country. One Rabbi said when he goes to an Arab country, he is embraced and treated well and he would also show the same respect if the roles were reversed.

I agree, and Hamas is to blame for using their own innocent children as a shield after attacking innocent Jews. The Israeli government is to blame for fighting evil with more evil. I believe Hamas has the upper hand in making this all stop by just releasing the hostages because the fact that they hide in plain civilian clothes only hurts the innocent from bombings. Plus they might stop if Hamas stopped trying to exterminate the Jews but who knows. However, there is a reason most nations wear uniforms so we can tell our own apart I really think Palestine needs to do something about Hamas because they are the reason innocents are dying. I will use this as an example: Let's say American white sumpremicts go and terrorize and murder thousands of innocents in Mexico, and Mexico then bombs us and our innocent children, our American government would definitely take matters into our own hands to make sure all the white sumpremicts are dismantled because it would be a threat to our national security. Sarah, it's NOT a step too far when genocide is happening! You may not think it's a big deal, but it IS. Universities have always been a beacon of change and resistance to injustices. You had no issue when graduations, classes, etc were shut down bc of COVID. Just say you don't care about the 40,000+ murdered and the endless apartheid of the Palestinians. So when the hostages are released the 30,000 people in Gaza come back to life? There is no infrastructure left there, no hospitals, no universities, no housing! What about the trauma? The traumatized, displaced, orphaned, mutilated, will just go back to what? What about food, water, gas, oil access? The war doesn't end when hostages are released, and everyone knows it.
I feel that Sunny made an important point. I also call them "pro-Palestinian" protests instead of anti-war protests. However, many who are criticizing Israel's military action against Gaza do not see this as a war. They see it as a full-fledged genocide. I'm not sure there is any way to frame this situation with the campus protests that is going to entirely and accurately characterize these positions.

Have the rest of the panel ever considered a thought for the Palestinian student or Muslim student and how they are treated? Americans your tax dollars that are going to a foreign country should be re-invested into your community. I have watched the View for years and to watch over the recent years how reticent the panel is to speak on truth of humanity about various issues has been deeply disappointing. As soon as what happened on October 7th happened, I knew immediately that there would not be real and honest discussion about the Palestinian people and the injustices being carried out by Israel. In the few times they have discussed it, Sunny has been shut down at every moment detailing what the actual international laws and organizations have said about this war. This has shown me, as I already knew but it is painful to see it, how deeply entrenched the United States media truly is in propaganda. I said to myself yesterday before watching, Sunny and Whoopi betta COME THROUGH this time, because it was a 10 minute segment. Sunny came tf through and they must have been specifically told, "no interruptions". Then Whoopi said what she said, and I can see now how much her voice has been stifled in talking about this conflict because she told us she wasn't going to say anything. That is directly in part of what the white interests at ABC have and how they refuse to allow Black women to speak their actual truth on these shows. It is disgraceful, unsurprising and deeply teachable what Sara, Alyssa and Ana did here. These three women have the least stake in seeing this conflict end, because their feminism and politic directly benefits from spreading lies and denying Palestinian people their humanity in this genocide. Their feminism says that they protect who looks like them, who abides by their respectability politics, and who doesn't disrupt their comfort for the sake of justice. Watch and learn from this clip, it is deeply important - because in this same show while Alyssa is denoucning these protests for what they really are, she said in the next segment about the VP potential nominee who killed her dog, #JusticeforCrickett. White and white passing women will care more about a dog, than they will about innocent people being brutalized by the systems they benefit from. So much more to say, but I'll leave it here.
