Posted signs of an area being gun free (all schools - elementry to colleges are gun free) doesn't mean anything to a person bent on causing harm. Doesn't matter what country.

You can have gun license from 21 years old in Czech Republic, most of people don't think about such things until they finish school and they don't even have money for that when they are still on school, you don't even have time for doing some gun license when you study university, so even if you allow guns in universities, it will change nothing when students don't have any guns. Maybe at least few teachers could have a gun, that could help.

well it’s less common but yeah some do my mom takes them and I’m pretty sure a lot more people do too and now because of the shooting that happened I think many more people started taking them as well

He had a gun license, so if he needed some antidepresives, they would probably take his guns, I hope. Maybe he actually needed antidepresives, but he didn't visit any doctors to get recipe for that because you can't just go to pharmacy and buy some antidepressives. Some changes of our gun laws are planned from 2026, doctors will have more rights and possibilities when someone wants a stamp for gun license from them and gun shops will have obligation to report suspicious purchases, like when someone is buying 50 magazines or thousands bullets or something and register of guns should be shared for all doctors, police and other authorities, when they check your ID, they will immediately see that you have guns. I hope this will help without bothering gun owners too much and remove their rights.

@@Pidalin thank you for the information. 🙏🏻 I was aware that he did have licensed weapons, and I have a friend who lives in the Czech Republic currently. He is originally from California like me, and is very familiar with mass shootings, unfortunately. They are currently trying to take our gun rights away in a lot of states in America in any way they can, & using these particular types of events as the excuse. I fully support ownership of weapons, & I also support safety classes for people who want to get licenses so that they at least know what they are doing with weapons. They are also limiting the amount of ammunition we can buy here, and in California, the horrible governor just attempted to make it illegal to have guns in most public places, but a judge said it was unconstitutional. Of course the governor is appealing this ruling. His name is Gavin Newsom, and there is talk that he may be put up in the next presidential election instead of Biden (for the Democratic party). In my opinion That would be horrible for our nation, and the rest of the world. I do think it would be a good idea If we (the world) start to look at what could be causing the root of the problem with these mass shootings, because I don’t believe it is the guns. There are plenty of countries that have lots of guns, where this does not happen at all, and I know the Czech Republic has been a very peaceful place for the most part. I have always wanted to visit Prague, as I do have Slavic DNA, & it is such a beautiful city! ♥️ I hope that overtime the people who have been affected by this tragedy can find healing, and that we can all start to get to the root of the problem, without infringing on anyone’s rights. I do think that people with mental instability who take medication’s should be known to people who make gun regulations & laws, just because of the connections they have found in the United States (where this happens all the time) with those medications and these shootings. That being said, I am aware that that could be used against people in a very nefarious way, and people could be called crazy and locked up, and the key thrown away… I am definitely not in favor of that, or people being called crazy when they are not. It’s definitely a complicated situation. ❤️‍🩹

@@Lovely_Linda_777 Interesting is that we don't have any limit for how many ammo you can buy, I know that some people really buy thousands of bullets and they even share it on social media, for example our the most known game developer Dan Vávra who is responsible for Mafia game and Kingdom Come is known for doing it, he is saying that he will use it instead of money after apocalypse or something, I think this is very unfortunate and it doesn't help to how gun owners are seen by public.

@@Pidalin yes that is very interesting. Prices for ammunition have gone through the roof here because of the limitations. Since they can’t take away our guns in America, because it is written into our constitution, they find other ways to limit our ability to own or use them. For some people it is literally so expensive to buy bullets that they can’t even go to a range to practice. Which in my opinion creates more of a safety issue because people won’t be as advanced in terms of how they shoot a target, or handle a weapon. They have also started to outlaw certain types of weapons, and extended magazines, etc… There are definitely people here who are prepping for an “apocalypse”, trying to stock up everything including ammunition, but it’s becoming harder for them to do that…

The worst economical crisis since 50s, covid, war in Ukraine, generally bad atmosphere for few years, I would say it's pretty obvious what's wrong in these days, we don't live in good years anymore, that ended in 2019. You have already almost 4 years of shits and that's a long time for a person who is 24 years old, these rich kids can't handle few years of stress and bad atmosphere. We, people from broken families, surrounded by alcoholics and maniacs, are used to it, but these rich kids don't.

Ask.that.same.question in Chicago, Baltimore, or Oakland Maybe "the folks" there can fill you in as.you group together to "take stuff for free" from Macy's, Target, Walmart, etc and STILL get away scot.free

maybe you should look more into the shooter's background before commenting because he was copying a shooter from Russia who copied the shootings in the US. Also it helps to look more into the statistics before using this tragedy to inject your 2nd amendment propaganda.

Little problem with that is the shooting wasn't in the states but in Europe. We don't know what their gun laws are much less dictate how they handle things.
