Jack Rudolph was my favorite character on this show. He had to be tough, but flexible as an antagonist to the other characters. He had to be believable and not just a mustache twirling villain. Congrats to Steven Weber for doing such a wonderful job at portraying him.
This show had a lot of potential but because it required the audience to have an attention span greater than a spaniel in heat being shown a card trick and it wasn't suitable material to lay down a laugh track to tell people when something funny was spoken the Nothing But Crap network pulled the plug after the first, albeit abbreviated season, was concluded.
nah... was cancelled because it made Michaels look like a wuss. Michaels was a wuss and had been for a while, but I mean....New Yorkers were still feeling 9/11 at the time of the show. Plus, 30 Rock, which Michaels produced, came out the same year and was an easier pill for the public to swallow. Also, Sorkin is preachy and liberal. Preachy liberals have not been able to make it on network television for a long time. Still, miss those walk and talks.
