@valentinecochran I know it's some kinda delay/reverb thing but it's a pedal or a effect box i believe and I'm wondering which kind it is, especially in some other songs he get the "megaphone" effect perfectly, but Jay was awesome so who knows but him.

Well, it may be bland in your opinion, but that's what makes music so thoroughly fascinating, that everybody has their own taste. Jay wasn't overly hyped, he was just great. Over 100 singles, two completely different full length albums proved that.

@stainypoo Reverb. Its probably something different and more expensive but you could totally get that with digital reverb.

I honestly don't see why this(meaning him) is so hyped. Nothing new or creative or interesting is going on here. I think maybe people only like him because he died.
