We caught up with playwright Duncan Macmillan at home in London earlier this spring, between working on Zoom-centric theatre projects, co-homeschooling his five-year-old, and closing out deadlines with his wife and writing partner, Effie Woods.
We introduced Duncan to Studio audiences with the world premiere of his play Lungs in 2011. It became his breakout hit and went on to play around the world, most recently at The Old Vic in London earlier this season. The theatre just remounted Lungs with stars of Netflix's The Crown Claire Foy and Matt Smith reprising their roles for a run of experimental, livestreamed, socially-distanced performances.
Get to know Duncan a little better in our latest Video Postcard and join us in wondering what brilliant ideas he has written on all those little post-its in the background.
