Idk if you’ll see this, but I need to tell you that you’re literally my idol. You’re the reason why I first started listening to EDM back in 2016. I literally wouldn’t be here trying to make my own music if it weren’t for you. Thank you, Valentin. 💜💜
consistently one of my favorite producers of all time. you always just make everything so easy to understand, and don't gatekeep information. it's so welcome for up and comers like myself. so incredibly grateful
The arp shuffle is controlled by the global amount slider in the groove menu! Koan sounds guys said the swing 16th 71 groove is the closest to the arp so you can use that on the drums and then use the global amount to control everything together. Great video as always!
Always been naturally drawn to german engineering at a gut level. VR is no exception, and im clearly not alone in that. The music and yt videos made me a fan, the patreon made me a super fan.
You have been, and still are an inspiration to so many aspiring producers. Ever since I started yearsss ago in like 2011, I have been amazed by your music. Everything from your incredible melodies, to your insane sound design skill that I have not seen matched anywhere else, you deserve to be up there as one of the all time greats. My dream has always been to reach even 50% of your skill level with producing. Keep doing you and inspiring the world. Much love Valentin 💜
Whenever I listened to this person's music, I always thought, How the hell do I make a sound like that? But today, I think I've found that question.. Virtual Riot is a really great Musician
29:20 you can also use the midi capture button since you just played the melody so you don't have to draw it by hand. I usually play a melody -> midi capture-> quantize and cleanup
Hi! You probably wont see this but that's okay. You were my favorite artist back in like 2015 when I discovered this genre of music. You are the reason that I had such a massive interest in EDM and dubstep, and also why I now make music! If it weren't for you, I would never have even tried to make music. Thank you.
29:18 Little workflow tip: clicking the capture square at the top, near the play and stop buttons captures the midi performance so you don't have to write it in. You can set how much time it keeps on memory in the settings I believe.
Dude, congrats on the Minneapolis move! I'll be back in Milwaukee in the near future so that makes seeing your "local" shows at least a little easier. Cheers homie!
When I first listened to EDM in around 2014, I mostly heard music from Zedd. I didn’t discover other artists until early 2015. One of the first ever non-Zedd EDM songs I ever listened to is “Runaway (U & I)” from Galantis. Then I discovered Monstercat and NCS in 2017. I didn’t really discover Virtual Riot until around late 2018. But the first song from him that I listened to is “Energy Drink.”
Ayo, Minneapolis?? What brings you Minnesota-way? I've been watching your stuff for years, so it's funny to see you coming right around the neighborhood lol
This was cool and all but I was really hoping to see what was IN the racks at least as far as general effects goes because I wanted to try to remake them in Bitwig. As such I cant open them even if I am a patron as I don't have ableton live and the video doesn't tell me anything about how they work so I won't really get anything out of this. I'll see if anyone In discords etc ends up downloading them and can tell me what effects are present so I can make some of my own versions. Thanks for the fun content regardless, much love. Edit: maybe a quick overview of each rack would make for good shorts. You don't have to be so detailed as to nullify the patron benefit but it would be useful to non-abletoneers.
thanks for continnuing to keep up the amazing content val! you are in service to others, its truly amazing. it feels greats to be alive in a time where you are too!
that doesn't change the arp swing setting, though does it? I run into this all the time using arps with house or garage. unless you know of another way.
Virtual Riot, I'm starting in the world of music. IF by any chance you see my comment, I'm doing a dubstep song, and I'm adding your intro of your video, obviously I will not take credit as you Virtual Riot, I just want to use it in my song because I admire you, and your music is the best. 🖤
