Welcome to Wisteria Lane (Colonial Street). This infamous street was the home of the hit television show The Desperate Housewives on ABC. That's not all, it was also the home of The Munsters, Hardy Boys, Leave it to Beaver, and Smash Mouth's All Star music video.

They changed Lynettes house; they moved the garage to the complete opposite side of where it used to be! Or, at the very least, they added another one to the other side. That definitely wasn't there before. And they removed the distinctive third floor on Brees, plus the house looks much more boring now. Makes me sad, but I'm glad you can still see small glimpses of what used to be.

@Roddie62 . Actually Karen McCluskey House is the one fully functioning. Now, probably without furniture, but everything inside worked during the show, like in the normal house. Edie's house has running water and functioning pipes pumping them. I don;t know w about the rest but the upper floors are just empty shells.

I got to see Wisteria Lane at Universal Studios Hollywood with my parents 4️⃣ years ago in May for our vacation to this expensive yet awesome theme park. The purpose of traveling to Universal City was to have relatives I live with in reality to show me where movies and 📺 shows mainly sitcoms were made in the past and today. The 🏘 are beautiful pieces of architecture even though they’re facades or so I’m told. 😂

There is something Universal Studios Hollywood calls the “VIP Experience” which gives you exclusive access to areas of the backlot. If you’re planning a visit it might be worth emailing the park to find out if guests doing the VIP Experience can exit their trolley on Wisteria Lane.

After 3 try’s on different trips, we finally got to see the lane in all its glory while the show was in production, but shut down for a few hours for whatever reason. It was all set up for Halloween and being a devoted fan, I was beside myself with excitement. Lol!

The houses are mainly all empty facades, except for Edie's and the one they built of Ms.Mcklusky. Brees house is all unfinished plywood inside with bathrooms. I think Mary Alice, Gabrielle, Susan, and the Munster Homes are actual first floor sets however.

This tour guide is stuck in "Desperate Housewives" mode. Most people don't give a crap. He should have focused on all the other shows that he skipped over. Going to be honest here. This tour guide sucked! He made it even worse by speeding through the street like he was late for lunch.
