Follow along on my attempt at documenting Studio Two as they recreate The Beatles hit song I Feel Fine.

To my ear parts of the intro riff on acoustic guitar almost sounds like a keyboard. Always found that fascinating. I used to play that first part over and over as a kid. One of my favs!

In 1966 I had a Gibson ES 330 and a Gibson Titan Medalist Combo tube amp. I was able to duplicate the intro growl exactly. But it really wasn't feedback per se. I raised the neck A string pickup screw a bit. When I thumbed the A string and faced the amp closely, it started to feedback and quickly the amplitude of the strings vibration increased and started to bounce off a fret close to the sound hole creating the growl.

I also played the song and got that I Feel Fine intro feedback with the string itself

Unfortunately, I cannot duplicate it with my 2017 Casino and my Deluxe Reverb. While the amp will feedback, I can't get the A string to vibrate against a fret. I am using flatwounds like I did in the 60's. Perhaps a combination of string height, truss rod, and pole piece are not all in proper sync.

the beginning note . . . nobody plays the acoustic/electric guitar, maybee John holds it, it could just as well be on the floor, Paul plays de A, John's guitar picks up the sound and the string starts ringing just because of the bass frequencies. Later they edited it to the intro. That happened a lot in the studio or practise rooms feedbacking acoustics

When they are playing Everyone’s Trying To Be My Baby? It was live through the amps and of course that blocked out Rob’s singing. They could hear it all themselves through the headphones. I’ll be reaching out to Vance soon to get the final mixes!

@@guitargearconnection I would like to hear that. I played the George Harrison part in a Beatles tribute band in the 80s called The Beatmakers Show Band. We toured Australia, New Zealand and Japan it was one of the the best times in my life. All the best and most of all have fun. Enjoy it while it lasts time go's so fast and It's over before you know it.🎸👍🏻

Im in a trio band with a singer and i cant the drummer to play the bossa nova beat that Ringo was so good at playing. It frustrates me to no end.

I find it weird that people would buy a Beatles cover band version of a Beatles song when they can hear the real thing from the Beatles This cover version is played exactly like the Beatles song so just get the real Beatles version!!

Check out The Fab Four if you want to hear the world’s best Beatles tribute. I’m a lifetime Beatles fan and The Fab Four are amazing. These guys are alright.
