STUDIO VLOG // Candle Pop Up Selling My Candles at a Local Boutique for One Night Event

Hi friends! In today's studio vlog I am taking you behind the scenes of how I set up my candle pop up at a local boutique. This is a one night event where I will be selling my candles in person before they launch online. This is a great ay to get your product in front of customers especially if you sell scented items that can sometimes be tricky for customers to purchase online.

I've had mixed results with pop-ups and markets since I started doing them last year and appreciate this vlog in particular because of your honesty and positive outlook. Hi Caitlin. Although I'm in the middle of the US, I wanted you to know that sometimes your customers are just getting off work at 5pm, rushing home to get the kids or dinner then eat with the family and then they remember, your popup and there isn't enough time to get there. I've missed so soo many great popups for this very single reason. I miss a lot of live tutorials/classes/demonstrations as they are always held during the times I am at work and I get that 'that' is the vendor/sellers work day also. But if more popups were done on Saturdays or coincided with pay dates, the turn out would be amazing! Don't let this one get you down, I totally get it. I've been there for all the events my friends ever did, even those that brought them into work and I've always, always supported them. They just never returned the favor, so that's how "I" get how you are feeling. Keep your head up, there are many of us out there that are learning TONS from you and all that you share and I'm very thankful that you are sharing the ups and, the downs. They happen. But showing the real side of this business does inspire many and really, gives us thoughts and ideas to 'chew' on. So chin up Caitlin, I'm rooting for you from ND and to prove it, I'm standing with you in your event and will go to your store to buy a candle and probably more. God bless and Hugs from ND.

I love this!! It is so true!! When I am at events with other new makers, and they become distressed over slow sales, I just tell them it's hit or miss, it takes time, just keep at it, and most importantly don't show it at your booth!!
