Hey! :D Je suis française et c'est une amie hongroise qui m'a fait découvrir ta chaine youtube. Je voulais te faire remarquer quelques petites erreurs pour t'aider à t'améliorer -on dit "je passe mes vacances" et non "je passe mon vacances" -François se prononce Franssois Voila, sinon tu t'en sors très bien continue comme ça, Bisou ♥
This is the best study with me french, that I have seen in RU-vid! I've been looking for this kind of sessions but there's no one like this, thank you so much for this! ❤
Tu parles français?! I didn’t know that! I’m learning French because I need to in school. I’m Dutch so we get English, French and German subjects in school. I’m also learning Korean and Japanese for fun 😂
Maybe, being European, you will find use for all those languages. in the US, Spanish can come in handy, maybe French if you live in Louisiana. That's it. And Korean and Japanese?? Boy, you are good if you can learn those two. It takes a lot of time to learn another language. And in the US, we work all the time.
The best polyglot ever! never seen any polyglots doing the same! it sounds like they don´t want tho share their tecs. I study french and finnish and i´m gonna do the same. Thanks!
I don't know why watching this video makes me so happy lol I'm not even interested in learning French 😂 I guess it's just nice seeing others study hard, too? I watched the one you made about studying Japanese as well~ It also made me happy LOL Anywayyyyy~ I hope you make more videos like this one, even if it's only every once in a while. P.S. It's obvious you've put a lot of work into these videos by the quality ❤️ They are very well-made ☺️
I have a question for you, sorry if you've already answered it before im new here; is languages a part of your job, or is it a hobby? If a hobby, how do you make time for so,many languages; if a job, what does your job entail? Love you loads and you are inspiring me to not stop learning French and Korean xxxxxxxxxxx
Ahahah I love your old textbook. I would argue though that the French used is quite old fashion... If you started speaking like that, you would sound old-fashion or too formal XD.
Hello from Argentina! I see your videos and it is so interested. I like lenguajes and wanna learn from myself. A question!: outside youtube, is it a job for you??
Guys help🥺 To start, I know two languages, Tagalog and English, both of which came naturally to me since I've been learning these two side by side starting at an early age. Now, I strive to learn French, and I'm currently doing that durung quarantine. I know now some few basic vocabulary words and, the grammar in French is somehow close to English so I can guess the other words based on the preceding ones. But, as I'm trying to read them, I kept translating the sentence into English in my mind. I mean, when I'm reading English sentences, I don't translate them to Tagalog and vice-versa inside my head. For example when I read the word "ear", I think of the body part and the picture, I don't particularly translate it to Tagalog, "tainga". But when I'm reading some French, when I read "oreille", I don't think about the body part itself but the English translation. I don't know if you get what I'm pointing out, but I want to understand French like how I understand Tagalog and English, where I won't be translating to English just to understand the context, I want to think the sentences in French. Idk how to explain it though.
try using pictures rather than english words for the translation. you can print them or draw them but this will help you understand the words rather than memorising the english translation. hope this helps!
Bravo Lindie! Your videos are always so relaxing it makes me want to study with you at the same time. I'm on advanced french for quite a long time already, so I mostly watch movies and read books to practise it. Keep doing your best!
The Oxford English Dictionary is the best tool for native, English-speakers to learn French, because it gives the linguistic origin of words which coincide with the fact that 30%-40% of English's vocabulary is French, Old French or a derived form of either. Then, another 15%-20% is common vocabulary in both languages, because words are Latin/Greek or derivatives. In other words, the more proficient a person is in English, the better this person is ''natively'' equipped to learn French.
Bravo ! :) Pourquoi ne pas utiliser un dictionnaire français pour apprendre les mots que tu ne connais pas ? Je pense faire ça avec le japonais dans 1 ou 2 mois :) (That way you only think in one language and if you don't know words in definitions then you can just learn them too and you are making a common-words-tree right ? what do you think ?)
Crazy Unicorn I study french in school and I think the biggest issue for native speakers of English is that we tend to translate phrases directly from English to French. The other day, while speaking to my french teacher I made the carnal mistake of saying "J'*ai* allé" instead of "je suis allé" "Elle est nager" instead of "elle nage" Hopefully I will start thinking in French soon 🙈
Hey ^^ Je suis Française ! J'adore tes vidéos :D I'm learning korean japanese and English currently (well talking japanese and Korean is hard for me yet but I'm working on it haha) It's so impressing to see how you are working and the motivation you give to me is huuuuge ! If you want to practice french with a native speaker, do not be shy and come to meee I would be so glad to help you (maybe I could improve my Englishhhh haha) have a nice day ! Bonn journée à toi et bonne chance dans ton apprentissage ! (ou devrais je dire tes apprentissages haha)
I'm always amazed by your french accent. I kind of work the same, I just tend to do more translations and answer questions on paper, i should work more on speaking practice.. (Paysan is actually in 3 syllables= pé-i-zan, it's from "pays/pé-i" :)
Dankie Lindie. Je leer deesdae Frans, donc sal dit utile laat wees! I see that vous avez un coiffeur gekuier het. Most of de vos cheveux het verdwyn! Just be careful, jy moenie jou languages opmix nie!
Hello Lindie, I am also trying to learn French. What are the best language books for French? Also any tips for someone trying to learn by myself? Thank you.
MAAAH. I think u should consider to buy a new book x) Not that i don't like 1945's books (i've a lot of them ahah) but they r a bit old now. Specially names or even the way they r talking. I don't know if u can find some interesting books like this, but if u want one online, i can maybe search ^^ can be better for u to see how much it changes.
I've been wanting to get back into French. A part of me wants to give it a second chance, but another just thinks I should stick to the language I'm working on now. Maybe someday when I work up enough courage and my Korean is at a level I'm happy with, maybe I'll go back to French.
Hey nice videos I'm going to Hungary in summer!!! want to learn some basics in Hungarian so are there any particular songs or just anything in particular that can expose me to the language?
Just RU-vid Hungarian music and see what takes your fancy and go from there with the recommendations - depends on what genre you like. I mentioned all my favorite singers in my last Hungarian video. :)
Hey Linda , I have been your subscriber for the last two years but I would love if you mentioned the books that your using in the below .it will help a lot .
Le français est une langue irrégulière (contrairement au chinois et au malais) et compliquée à l'écrit (contrairement à l'italien), mais pour un anglophone ce n'est pas la plus insurmontable.
I took DELF when I was in middle school but I never really used it for anything. I think if you plan to work in a Francophone country or need to prove your fluency, it's important. For me, I haven't had to do that so it's not necessary in my case :)
My language routine changes from time to time. Right now, the biggest thing is I'm reading the Gospel of John in French. Super excited about how few new words I encounter^ ^. You don't even understand. Well, maybe you do lol, but yeah, that's my new thing. I read two chapters a day, and also listen to the chapters. The You Version app is amazing for having audio. I just need to have a schedule to review the new vocabulary. I also watch interviews on the 7jours youtube channel. It's amazing. It's subtitled, it's formal French, and it's about real topics in the world. So, it's pretty much perfect for me who wants to keep a balance between 'real life' French, and proper French.
I just discovered your channel and it has already inspired me to pick up French again and finally starting Hungarian! I'm gonna take the advice and listen to some more music, since that's actually how I learned English lol wish me luck
