As much as I wanted Maddox to do well since I coincidentally have the same last name, we can’t deny Dejean anymore. Him and Q are something special man
next years corners need to be Rodgers and Q on the outside and Dejean at nickel. slay has sadly lost a step or two at his age and isn't able to keep up with a lot of receivers anymore
@@griffins750 slay has been better than he was last season but that isn't saying much. I just think Rodgers looks better out there on the outside. Need to see what Rodgers can do this season so Howie can figure out if he wants to sign him in the off season since he's on the last year of his deal.
The entire Fangio defense relies on making your Tackles …. And the D has been hitting hard and wrapping up the last few weeks ! Cudos to entire squad … coming together nicely ! And because of that confidence, Fangio has been getting more and more aggressive !! Amen !!
Great point about the philosophy. To your point, you can see Vic in his bag, not giving the same look every snap which is something we struggled with last year. Defense has a lot of confidence right now
Dejean and Q are a breath of fresh air. Athletic, physical, dogs with IQ. Not scared of the moments. Not asking if the opps are still console Gaming (wtf). Not trying to be best buds with the opps. Love seeing them grow from week to week. Dejean will knock your head off too. And he's doing a nice job at PR (Covery better get back before he has no spot lol). Liked and shared.
I got all the respect in the world for Slay as a player and when you hear the young DBs talk about him it's clear he's a great mentor/leader and I do think he's still a solid corner but the pairing of Q and Rodgers gets me so excited for the future, I'd really like to see that duo together more
That's media talk, bro. What else would they say? Listen to him as a grown man and formulate your own opinion... Any man talking about how they "played an amazing game" when your team gets its ass beat while having shaky game is mad goofy. Up there talking about his teammates on podcasts and shit. Suspect tackling.
@TopBillinSports Its more than media talk he's been doing a lot for Q since the draft but I digress because that don't even matter too much I was just saying that to say I ain't no blanket Slay hater(as a player, to your last point once the game ends he be pissin me off with that podcast stuff both his and othes) but I still wanna see Rodgers get some reps over him. Preciate the coverage as always 🫡
@lemonadetea4822 - I'm not a hater of anyone; I'm covering football. I'm sure every vet does stuff for younger players, but it goes beyond that for me. I don't look at everything surface level because my experience goes beyond being a fan. If there's a Fletcher Cox or Kelce on the team, Slay is not looked at as anybody but a dude who shows up on film shying away from contact, at times, and saying silly shit on podcasts looking to break through in the media space.
Isiah Rogers on that 4th down stop; awesome communication and had a great jam to allow Dejean to bubble around and make the play on chase! Defense is actually talking out there this year
Great video, I really enjoyed your commentary. I keep rewatching that clip of Cooper following Chase and despite there being so many nuances and potential rubs Cooper navigated them all. Just a crazy savvy play for a rookie.
Good video as usual bro. It's nice to see d backs putting hands on dudes at the line. Never understood why we gave WR's so much space to work with in the past. Hopefully we continue to press these dudes and make them earn every catch.
I gotta move to Germantown one day, bro, to grab me a 4-level house with that dope-ass architecture. Almost did move off E Walnut, though.... Much love, bro!
You clicked on my fuckin Eagles content to mention Seattle like I've said a MILLION TIMES NOT TO?!? YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!! I know you heard me say I'm blocking every Seattle person that does it. Adios!
@@TopBillinSports Murf, I’m an Eagles fan lol. given credit where credit is due. Giving YOU props but okay. I LOVE football, isn’t that why we are here? Ffs man, attacking a fan of yours is pretty f*cked up. I hope nothing but the best for ya
What, you're an Eagles fan talking to me about the Seahawks like I give a shit about them? This is my team. I don't need to hear about Seattle unless it's a Seattle subject. This might actually be worse than the annoying Seattle people always coming to my content doing this... This was mad unnecessary.
?? Jersey? Not sure why people are struggling with this one. Thanks clearly a Philadelphia directed exercise. You still shouting out cities, in other states, when I made it extremely clear I meant neighborhoods and shouted out a multitude of Philly neighborhoods. The internet is wild.
"I think I played an amazing game." Lol. I meant to put that in this one, actually, and forgot. I believe I left a slot open for it. That shit cracks me up every time.
Cooper is very talented. I don't think I've ever seen any player on the Philadelphia Eagles defense utilized in such a multitude of ways. Now, I know that's a function of the system and coordinator and all of that but it is really interesting to see the way that Vic utilizes Cooper. It feels like every time I look up Cooper is making a big play.
I 100% percent agree with you Isiah Rodgers SHOULD be starting over Slay. The only reason slay is starting is because we’re paying him a lot of Money. Him being a Captain has nothing to do with it
I notice it seems like first read was chase but Mitchell took dat shit away quickly lol.. him an coop gon be stars for us for yearsssss to come bruh! Go birds 🦅
Bro, I'm excited about the entire secondary for years to come. Reed has leveled up, too, and was already very good. I want to see Sydney Brown worked in at Chauncey's spot.
This calling another man a "Jawn" is wild to me. I will never participate in that. Been using that word most of my life and it was always to refer to a female. It's like when cats see athletes they lose a grip on what's really real lol. "look at that jawn over there," was never in reference to another man haha.
@TopBillinSports you know as well as I do it's a play on his name and him playing for the birds. A jawn can also mean anything you want it to mean, person place or thing. Being an athlete has nothing to do with it. I'm pretty sure if he played for another team, this wouldn't have ever been a thimg.
@antcarter2785 - But he doesn't play for another team. He plays for a team in a city and area where me and all black people call women a Jawn. Sorry, sports doesn't change that for me. Definitely some wyte cats came up with that. People can do whatever they please, you just won't ever catch me calling another man a Jawn.
Thanks, bro! Thanks for tappin' in. This is a film study, though, not a podcast. I may do a podcast for Philly soon, though, which is usually audio only.
It’s kinda funny, I’ve been seeing less videos on Q and more on DeJean lately. Qs been so good that it’s boring to watch film on him cuz the ball doesn’t come his way anymore. Now DeJean is showing a ton of promise in his early goings. The early returns on these two picks are incredible, future is very bright in this young secondary
Ball went his way plenty of times. And I already focused on him before, I have to cover everyone. And don't ever include me with anyone else, playboy. I'm my own man. I set trends; I don't follow anyone.
@@TopBillinSports this was more about the future of the eagles being bright then it was about trends. 🤷♂️ Its not saying anything about you as a creator, I like your content and find it very informative.
Bro I’ve noticed QB’s aren’t even throwing at Q. Is that due to weaknesses elsewhere or is word getting out that he is THAT DUDE!? The combo of him and DeJean along with the play of Dean and Baun have completely changed this defense!
@ true, maybe I’m judging too much off the last 2 games. I read something that said he was only targeted twice in the giants game and in this game I didn’t see him targeted much but I’m not breaking the film down.
@letter244 - Giants could barely get a pass off with that weak offensive line lol. And they didn't have Malik Nabers. But I'll check for you. All that teams avoiding a rookie may be a stretch, though, as he has been beaten when he has been targeted. But teams target Surtain and players of his ilk all the time, ya know?
@ That makes sense. They did have Malik though we held him to like 46 yards or something pedestrian but yea I looked it up it says he’s been targeted 35 times in 7 games so I’m defjnitely wrong lol
My man, I'm not some fanboy nor am I 16. Leaders don't have podcasts where they say shit about fellow teammates and have to then retract it. Leaders don't shy away from contact on the field leaving others to clean up their mess. Leaders don't see play and get blown the fuck out by the Cowgirls and then go on said podcasts and say, "I think I played an amazing game." Would Fletcher Cox or Kelce ever say some shit like that? Jeremiah Trotter Sr or Brian Dawkins? I don't fall for anything in life, bro, because I can use logic at the very least.
I almost expected you to be glazing up Isaiah Rodgers (Big Play Sai) for his amazing play on the Bengles, which he deserves after that. Coop's 4th and 1 tackle was the turning point to the game, but Rodgers deflecting the ball to CJ ultimately turned the game over to us.
I cover football for a living; glazing is a weird term to use. Seems like a fan term. And pretty sure I talked about that Rodgers play in my after game reviews on Sunday. Subscribe and check out the videos.
@@TopBillinSports Yeah, it's an odd term, but I have seen it thrown around when it comes to giving compliments. I just saw that video and I subscribed to your channel. I appreciate the footage you break down.
Also, In that first play when Coop almost picked off Joe, who was supposed to be guarding the running back? Chase brown leaked out and had Burrow hit him, he’s up the sideline for Atleast 30/40 yards. He chipped the DE and leaked out last minute.. is DeJean expected to cover that as well? Just wondering because he was WIDE OPEN.
@@TopBillinSportsthat's just the nature of commenting on sports. Don't let it get to you. You're an intelligent guy with good analysis. Don't let the haters get to you. Thanks for what you do.
West Philly, Walnut Hill, what up!!!!! Finally someone did what I asked lol. Dudes shouting out different states and cities in different counties. Wild!
Coop catches punts, bro, so it would be hard for him to not have good hands. Dropping a catch happens to everyone. Mitchell can't catch to save his life, though.
What's up with grown men just doing silly stuff for attention? You were better off just concentrating on football. I appreciate you watching, but I clearly didn't ask for anything outside of Philly neighborhoods and certainly not a city in Arizona.
Slay is goofy, he needs to go, he had all the talent to be a hall of famer, he was really that talented. But he just doesn’t have the heart or the mentality for it, it’s clear he doesn’t have that type of passion for the game to push himself that hard. The same with Maddox as far as passion for the game, that bucs game where he was talking about call of duty with Mike evans in the middle ofa blow out made me say he needs to go immediately. I want all dogs on this team, especially on the defense
Passion for the game!! I'm not normally the one to judge stuff like that as that's an inner- being feeling that's tough to judge from the outside... But I may have to agree with you on that one!
?? Uh, I'm going to let this slide, this time, but the request is for Philly. And even if it wasn't, I specifically asked for neighborhoods which that isn't... Thanks for watching, though.
I literally said I don't want blocks and streets. North Philly is not a neighborhood, it's a section of Philly. North Philly neighborhoods are: Strawberry Mansion, Brewerytown, Nicetown-Tioga, Logan (I'm actually looking at a house in this neighborhood as we speak), Ogontz, Temple, etc. all in North Philly. Like I said in this video, I wonder if the average black person knows their neighborhood opposed to their section.
You Trippin', bro, much love to DelCo, but I'm referring to Philly neighborhoods. And DelCo is not a neighborhood if I was referring to it. Let's not make this difficult, folks. Lol
