Vocational highschool 2 Subang is one of two SMKs currently undergoing the Revitalzation Program of Agricultural Vocational Schools in Indonesia. This program is a collaboration between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the
Kingdom of the Netherlands. The purpose of this program is to create an educational process that is able to produce graduates with competencies that are suitable to the needs of the workforce.
One of the activities developed to achieve the objectives of this program is the holding of a Study Visit to the Netherlands for cadets and agricultural teachers. From Vocational highschool 2 Subang, this activity will be attended by 1 teacher, namely Betta Yuliana and 4 cadets, namely Fadhilah Dzikri Galang Ismail, Ligar Muhamad Nidal, Stefani, and Ratna Komala.
This study visit was designed to provide teachers and cadets with new and fresh learning experiences and perspectives. It is hoped that both teachers and students who will undergo this learning visit can bring positive insights into their learning practices at school.
In the series of study visits, cadets and teachers will participate in various visits and learning sessions with HAS University, including related to food processing facilities, greenhouses, and garden & vertical farming facilities. Cadets and teachers will also gain insight into how the industrial sector in the Netherlands is involved in efforts to develop green education. In addition to related studies related to the agriculture sector, cadets and teachers will also visit several museums in the Netherlands.
It is hoped that this study tour will increase students' knowledge, skills, interests and love for agriculture and be a motivator for other cadets to be able to seize similar opportunities.
