That schedule sounds perfect. I had a ton of weekend obligations during bar prep (all my friends decided to get married the same summer 😅) so I did about eight hours every day and minimal on weekends. If you feel yourself getting burned out, adjust. You’ve got this!!!! R/barexam is so toxic but so addicting. 😈
Good for you for thinking about what you need to be successful & being careful about burnout. 💝 I had to retake to pass in 2019 after completely burning out the first time. I realized too late it didn’t matter how hard I studied alll summer if I didn’t actually prepare myself to perform on test day The second time, I took time to consider what plan would work best for me (instead of just blindly trusting the barbri randomized schedule) and pretty much my day looked like a simulated bar exam everyday - which was absolutely boring and miserable but it worked for me so it was worth it! I did an MPT practice test almost every morning because that was my weak area the first time (and ended up being the area I was most confident in the second), took about an hour break for lunch & working out, & spent the rest of each day reviewing one subject in detail per day (including practice questions if it was an mbe subject and essays for non-mbe subjects). The only days I didn’t do this were Wednesdays where I either did practice MBE, reviewing MBE content, or a mixture of both all day, and Sundays I also took off. The way I still remember this all too well... 😅 The bar exam is one of those things where loads of people can give you advice, but only you really know how you learn best and what you need to be successful on the exam. Trust yourself; you got this!! 🥰
It's been so exciting and even a little intimate watching your law school journey, your growth is so notable. You really have a beautiful light here on youtube. You've shown us your great successes and given great advice... I hope you feel accomplished after becoming an attorney. I know you've worked yourself to exhaustion most weeks during these last 3 years... You look the best you ever have, right now. I'm so pleased you're getting to do more things you want during bar prep. You're inspiring and I, and many others, are in awe of you. You have it all 😘 (hope your channel shifts toward covering more worldly events once you're barred)
My tips are to keep practicing without judging yourself about the current scores! You will get to where you want to be this is the last stretch and I am proud of you. You are doing so much right and I would say take it easy on yourself (pace yourself)
Hi Madison…I feel so blessed and inspired to have followed your law school journey. Congratulations on your law school graduation and best wishes on Bar prep as well as taking the Bar exam itself. Wish me luck as I start my 3L this coming August👍🏾😊. You and Nathan ROCK!!!!!
Okay wait 🤔 Bar prep vlog soo quickly. It's like yesterday you uploaded the grad vlog. 😁😁 Your level of consistency in uploading videos on the channel has been 😍😍😍.
LOL at the reloading the starbucks card bit. I redeemed the rest of my Lexis points for a starbucks gift card to get me through bar prep b/c I don't know how to function without it. I'm studying about 6 hours a day right now and taking sundays off too!
Hi Madison good morning happy Thursday morning and happy summer day and happy memorial day weekend and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Hey Madison, congrats on graduating and good luck on your bar prep journey! What made you decide on Themis for bar prep? My school pushes Barbri hardcore and we have access to the Barbri Mastery guide throughout law school, but I enrolled in Themis' free law school guide, which seems to have the same content that Barbri is providing--only with different lecturers.
Can you do another video on fitness and particularly talking about your cut and how to stay on track. I struggle so much with balancing a 9-5 and relationship and friends. Everyone always wants you to eat!!! Or you have a rough week and binge.
Hi Madison! Great vlog - I'm sure you're going to be fine - it's just like a bad day in the gym, the next one is always better😁! How did you decide to go with Themis versus some of the other bar prep programs? I think they should sponsor you🤣! And for the love of all that is good and caffeinated, let's get that sb reloaded - I would think that is mandatory barprep prep☕. Thanks so much and have a very productive week
I think trusts and estates would be great to know but I think you know them! Only reason I think it is great to know is for personal life and I am sure that is a huge money maker as an attorney. I studied insurance and I am a law school hopeful 😊 but I am intrigued to learn insurance laws and I really think trusts and estates are important. I am just here giving my 2 cents. Excited for you I know you will do it believe in Yourself and all that you are!
Sorry one more comment your take out budget is exactly me and it makes me sad and laugh at the same time because I did say last time and I am getting ready to go get breakfast 🍳 😂❤
What is everyone’s pace for bar prep? I’m using Themis and it says the suggested pace is 1.7% but after 6-7 hours of studying a day I usually can only get through 1%. I’m worried I’m not working fast enough.
Me trying to save money by not getting take out…..where would you like to go eat? Hahahaha story of my life. I am looking for a place to move and dishes are not my friend plus cooking takes time and effort that I can put towards packing 😂
I’m studying for the bar rn and taking Themis too! I started 2 days after you because I graduated a bit later but I’m aiming for 6 hr days mon-Fri (with a significant break) and 3 hr days sat and sun
