Maya's decision to study in Germany was driven by her desire to see more of the world. Her university had a government-backed programme with Germany, requiring students to spend a year abroad - the first semester as an exchange student and the second as an intern. This setup allowed her to experience life abroad without fully committing to a permanent move, providing a sense of security and adventure.
Navigating the German bureaucracy was one of Maya's significant challenges when moving to Germany, starting with the visa application process in Jordan.
