When I was there, NOBODY was looking at the Burano 😳 And for the price of the Burano, Sony should retroactively send that Mid49 monitor cable to Burano owners free of charge.
@@marrowfilms6187 Haha. I would have stopped by multiple times to make sure I put every questions/concern I have to each rep individually. But that said, I do actually still love the camera. Beyond the caveats, the image is incredible.
I did hahaha. The first two people where only versed in talking points. The last 3 just gave me the "working on it" Do you not find the ir a problem? @@chadterpstra
Based on this and other feedback in the Burano User Group from guys who've spoken to Sony reps, I feel like they're going to stick with the Roadmap they already have planned, and maaaaybe come up with a solve for 1 or 2 of "quirks" (false colour, SDI/HDMI shenanigans). Corporate responses like "we're listening" is the same kind of BS like "thoughts and prayers" which is generally followed up with zero action. It'd be nice to unlock a few things like higher frame rates at FFc and S35, and XOCN ST as a "we're sorry" but I won't hold my breath (though they did it with the Venice 2). That said, it's still an amazing camera with an incredible image and feature set (in spite of what FX3/6 users say).
Don't get bribed by Sony, keep your reviews honest and critical the way it should be! The sad truth is an FX6ii will probably address all those concerns at a lower price point.
The Ursa is absolutely sick and ticks off so many boxes. It's gonna be in high demand. The edge batteries are a game changer for travel gigs and their PD pro and stackable charging.
@@robchado Yeah you and me both! I have nagging suspicion I might get 2 or 3 of them. It's simply just a beast of a camera for that price. I can't find anything wrong with it.
@@Spinflight1000% agree man - had to dig deep and the only thing I can actually think of is no electronic variable ND but, they obviously have their tradeoffs in terms of IR. So excited to buy them as our new A and B cameras
Thanks for taking the time to make this video! I saw the DJI mic you used for the interviews, but what setup did you use to get the clean sound for your voice? I've had some clients ask about getting video at conventions, which I've never done. I'm looking into simple audio setups to help tone down the ambient noise. Thanks!
wondering how your lightmeter readings on your actors have any anything to do with the lens aperture of your camera. Also pretend you dont have a monitor. But if your contrast ratio between light and shadow on your actor's face is f2.8 and f8 (3:1), but you are using an f1.4 for your lens for stylistic choices like shallow depth of field, then how do you proceed to attain perfect exposure? Are exposure values on the light meter in any way related to lens choice ? Thank you.
Oh geez - some new cable standard. NOOOOO. add to that weird color coding no AC will now and = recipe for disaster. D-Tap worked just fine. Thank you so much...
When we have great screens on cameras now, monitors, excellent wireless video systems… screens for anywhere… why would anyone in this day and age use a view finder?
