Stuffed pepper is a dish of Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Russian cuisine. It is made from sweet pepper, peeled from seeds, seasoned with minced meat.
I cooked this dish in a slow cooker, but this is not a prerequisite, you can cook in an ordinary saucepan, cook on the stove!
- minced meat 1 kg. according to your preference. (this time I took pork and chicken)
- onions 2 pcs.
- a bunch of parsley (there was no fresh one at hand, I put it frozen)
- spices to taste - salt and black pepper
- rice 150 gr. (I don't cook in advance)
- peeled peppers from seeds and stalks ~ 20-25 pcs.
At the bottom of the multicooker (saucepan), put bay leaf, black peppercorns and, if desired, not a lot of hot pepper, if you like hot!
For frying:
- onions 2-3 pcs.
- carrots 1-2 pcs.
- tomatoes 2 pcs.
- tomato paste 2 tablespoons diluted with water
- salt, black pepper to taste
- butter or vegetable oil - at your request
