I did the 289 into a MGB when i was in the Army in Japan. Bought a 66 ford wagon from Property Disposal, with 289 and 3 speed tranny. Used many of the parts from it. I was able to get the cast exhaust manifolds to clear the steering shaft, with a little grinding. Used a JC Whitney shifter conversion kit. I pretty well "gutted" the firewall and fabricated a new one from a Army wall locker, oxy welding with coat hangers for welding rod. Your conversion is much more sophisticzted, and you will enjoy it immensely when completed.
You do nice work , I been in the auto business for 30 years I noticed you about 25 toolbox's I believe there is not a job you could not do. If you put your mind to it
@@petem6291 sorry I just don't like Chevys, and Ford has more influence in Europe than Chevy. so, they are with most Fords front shock towers. Make narrow v6 and v8s, good on the dude that did it. he knows.
@@thomasdearment3214was watching this thinking it's going to be a Windsor but hopefully a Cleveland, needs all that bulkhead removing and making future work easier
