I have a full time job, this is not youtube income. I make more than minimum wage but minimum wage in California is pretty high these days. I've been able to negotiate for raises every year that my experience in the workforce increases. You have to be providing value to the company you work for, and then if you're working for a good company they will compensate you well for doing so.

Look into legal assistant jobs. I work for a court reporting company as an administrative assistant and make a little bit more than that. But like she said, work your ass off and become a pivotal part of your company and you can negotiate raises.

For ease for your monthly bills try adding up the total you need to keep aside and transfer that into a separate account and have your bills paid from that account. No fear of taking it for anything else as you won’t be using it as your working account. 💕

I love envelope stuffing videos!!! Thank you for keeping the money the right way... now... you have got to clean up those envelopes!!! I couldn’t help but cringe with the bills going every which a way. I was taught that bills go the same direction and are always smallest to largest. It’s now ingrained. I got my laptop the same way you just got yours. 0% is amazing!!! I don’t blame you at all. Have a good trip to Disney.

Hey, I know this is late, but I have done this, and I wrote down all the amounts I need for each envelope and break them up into bills. (I start with 20s and work down). I then write all the denominations and put tallies next to them! I add it up and make sure it equals out then go to bank. I hope this helps.

I liked this 2 videos saw for first time, bc is so close to my real budget! and I always thought since my budget is so small I could not budget!... really good ideas to take for me... also your kind of spendings are similar to mine except for the boyfriend plans lol but I will have no problem to use that money to hang by myself and go to the movies or whatever :) I'd like to have a friend like you close in my city so we could do this together and she would supervise my discipline :P keep doing what u do 👏🏼 I like realistic videos and real people hehe :) (And I loved the envelopes and the agenda also and the spotify and photoshop suscriptions since I had denied myself of those thinking I don't have a budget for it, but now I see I can) Greetings from Colombia South America :)

I have been working 12 hour days all week. Also do the thrift haul video. Thanks

Amy Hunter I was in the same position up until recently. My solution so far has been to organize bills a bit to at least make sure I know what’s going out and coming in to some extent.. and I know I need to be better with my spending, so we put x amount into a “spending money” account for me and I do the major spending for the household, groceries, gas, etc. the rest of the bills come out of a separate account and the rest goes into savings. So I’m managing “sinking funds” while my husband is managing bills. Not a bad idea for us, at least. I went from spending about $1500 a month on literally nothing (bought a house, had to fill it up 😆 ) to around $300, and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. Looking at a bank statement for me was one thing, but I physically wrote out every single dollar I spent and it was really eye opening to me on how much we don’t need. Good luck! 💕 and remember it’s a process :)

I got very lucky with my job. I work for an insurance company and we all work remotely. I do the same things I would do in an office, just from my own room lol all I really needed to get started was a laptop and a phone! I wish I had more helpful advice but I really did sort of just stumble upon this job. I didn't think I had an relevant experience (I have a medical background), but this company thought otherwise and loved my medical background! So I'd say apply to any position where you can work from home, even if you don't think your background is applicable. A lot of the time it's more applicable than you'd think!

Luckily I don't have a lot of occasions where I need a gift, and when I determined how much I needed for Christmas I did add some extra for the birthdays that were coming up. A lot of the times I do hand made gifts that are essentially free so I can cut back on that, but I have a hard time with hand made gifts for boys which is why I've had to dip in. For people other than my immediate family I can usually pull the "I'm a broke college student" card 😂

Did my first ever envelope stuffing today starting on a cash spending system. I'm a serial swiper so hoping this will help me save a lot of money. I'm not pulling online bills and just keeping them in my account and making the conscious decision to not touch my debt card. In the very beginning did anyone have trouble adjusting to having envelopes in their wallet? I hate being that person holding up a line digging through their wallet, and having separate envelopes only makes that take even longer. For now I'm just keeping 1 big lump of cash that encompasses groceries/spending together, cause having to dig out the envelopes wasn't working for me. Keeping all sinking fund envelopes (toiletries, etc) at home, and sending big lump savings (i.e. I'm saving 500/mo towards new house deposit) into a separate Savings Account that I can't touch.
@Luck613
@Luck613 5 лет назад
Thanks to my frugal spending I've been able to keep a good amount of money in my account this past year. I've always been cheap, almost to a fault, but growing up I either had the money myself or I missed out, now I just save for rainy days, and boy is it raining right now. I've graduated uni this year, paid off my loans, but am still hopelessly unemployed. I've got bills to pay but thankfully still live with my mom so the big ones are not my responsibility yet. I love watching this because counting my money and knowing where it goes and where I want it to go gives me a relief I can't even explain. I hope something comes through on the job end soon though because it's increasingly upsetting to just be going through savings I'd hoped would go towards enjoying life. I will say though, I created a digital version of this several months back and one thing that's helped a lot is also recording what you've spent, you avoid a lot of confusion with that lol

For monthly payments I actually have a different bank account where my salary is transferred to and where the payments are made from. I never even touch it. I actually even forgot the code for my debit card on that one, haha. Works really well for people who get the same salary every month :)

Hey girl! I have a quick suggestion, for when you take money out, why don’t you write it down in red so that it’s easier to keep track of any money taken out of the envelope ? ! Love your videos! ❤️

I love that she changed her bills facing the same way after promising a subscriber that had a pet peeve about her bills not being organized in her 1st video. Superb.

Do you take ALL of your money out of you bank and put them into the envelopes then just go in to the bank to pay the bills? Wouldn't it be easier to just have the bigger bills automatically come out of your account?

Hi! Where do you get your cardstock paper at and how much do you typically pay? Thanks so much!

I totally get taking the money out so you dont accidentally spend it! I have one deposit that goes into my account every month that is in addition to my income and I called all of my bill companies and asked them to take their money out the same day! That way that deposit goes in and all my bills come out (other than mortgage) the same day. I also put my mortgage on accelerated bi weekly payments so I get paid on thursday and friday the mortgage comes out before the weekend when we start organizing/divying up the money. It took my a really long time to learn this lesson honestly and I always felt like i was moving money around everywhere to make it work when now its almost like i dont even think about how im going to pay the bill or omg when is this bill due again!? Its already dealt with.

So is that how you do it? Pay online bills by returning the cash money to my account before it's due? I think I can manage that...

I'm in school right now and spend quite frivolous and I dont have a drop of savings and it frustrates me because I do try hard. I think I need to actually see the money that's leaving.me in order to get my act together. I have no extra expenses either so there's no excuse because ita literally just me.

Where did you get the pages for biweekly paychecks? Is that a particular planner or did you get those pages separate?

So, if you pay your car payment online - would you still suggest pulling it like this and redepositing as the date approaches or would you move a set amount each pay period to savings to transfer over once the time comes?

Do you have any tips for high schoolers who want to learn how to do this early? I have a job but I don't make that much money and my family doesn't either so I try to help them out some and I have to buy my school clothes and stuff but I also want to save up for my early college classes or a car.

So do you just put all this money back in the bank after you sort things out ? If so how do you keep up with what money goes where if it’s in the bank
