Stuffing Stockings Live! 

It's so much easy to attach a pillowcase to the stockings to give you more room and the ability to keep the stockings

Missed the live as I’m in UK. You could get coloured cotton, drawstring bags to hang behind the stockings for future years overflow. Not so easy to find little things as children get older 😄

"overflow" bags are great for stockings. It doesn't matter how old my kids are, I go way overboard with stockings. My son is 20, and I always put a new keychain, hair products etc.

Tom, I cannot express enough how impressed I am yearly with the thought and care you put into these stockings. The “small gifts” you find to include so perfectly remind me of that child. It touches my heart to see you focus on these stockings. I pray you find peace and joy this holiday season and that it is filled with family and love.

Sorry I missed the live chat. I can only imagine the pain you feel at this time of year. I know the heartache you feel. I lost a brother at age 22 in January who was in the service and he didn’t make it home that Christmas before. He as stationed in Germany 😢

Your doing amazingly well it’s ok to feel down and not feeling the Christmas spirit when you’ve lost your partner especially when your kids are young it’s not easy just keep doing what your doing getting through each day remembering your amazing

How long does it take for the children to eat all that??? Goodness! I don't know if they have a sweet tooth or you have a sweet tooth. I don't know how you afford it all plus the presents.

Maybe with the tight stockings you could cut the lining (if they have it) to release them a little bit to stretch, especially the wool one like Hannah's or put the presents in a plain red stocking behind the traditional ones and fill the traditional ones with the candy and hang both from the same hook.

Wow Tom you made me cry when you pulled out that music box and perfume for your mom. That is the sweetest and most thoughtful gift you could give her. I know the stockings are sentimental, so similar to the baubles on that you put away, maybe you can put these away and give to the kids as they move out for their own child, or keep them in a memory box, and buy new ones for next year.

I was the oldest of five Thanks for so different back in the 60s And I stockings we at least got an apple and an orange and a bunch of different types of nuts We never had gifts in our stockings Although we did get some candy My favorite was the marshmallow Santas and since my grandmother worked for a can company we did get some hard candies also

All the stockings are so thoughtfully thought out Tom , especially your moms! I am a ceoliac also and yes, it sucks , praying your mom gets a diagnosis also ! Happy Christmas !

Tom~ I started having the same symptoms your mom has in 2017. They thought I had everything from pancreatic cancer to ulcerative colitis and celiac. Going gluten free helped me for a little while but the pain came back. I lost weight and couldn't eat. The only thing that helped me was taking digestive enzymes with every meal . Creon is enzymes the lady mentioned but they are prescription and high. I buy mine online enzymedica is the best brand and they work as good as prescription . Tell her to try Digest Gold enzymes , one with each meal will change her life. The Yoplait yogurt like you buy helps the pain too , it gets rid of the bad bacteria in her colon. Good luck!

This is a long shot, but have the doctors checked her ferritin levels? There's a condition called hemochromatosis. It's a condition where your body absorbs too much iron, and it can build up in your organs (liver, pancreas, etc.) and cause damage. I have it, and I have to go get blood taken every eight or so months. Most doctors won't check for it, and mine was found by accident. It's also called the "Irish curse" because it is common in people of Northern European descent. Worth a shot, maybe.

I can tell you are very overwhelmed in this video. You might find in the future if you laid out the stocking gifts in an assembly line setup it would be much easier. I can’t imagine stockings for a family of your size. Remember that you need time for yourself during this busy Christmas season. You’re doing a great job!

Tom, just a suggestion , I think if you can cut the material that’s inside of Hanna’s stocking out it would be as flexible as Thomas is. It’s the inside lining that is preventing the stocking to stretch….🙂
