Man, I 've been wanting to start stumpgrinding for about a year now. Just pulled the trigger and bought a woodland mill 3point hitch implement stumpgrinder mainly for personal use around my property, but within a months time I've done 30 stumps. Now I'm ready to up grade to a big boy stump grinder and this video has answered a lot questions Ive been searching for and give me the confidence to grow my business. Thanks

I am a regular suburban home owner who never worked in the industry. In the past I have hired a stump grinding machine to do the work. The hire company charges by the half day period but that includes the moment it is loaded onto my trailer and unloaded after I return the grinder to their premises. Their charges are $200 for half a day. Last time I needed stumps ground, I decided to get a quote from a tradesman who does it for a living.. The contractor arrived with an assistant and what would have taken me at least 3 hours work, they had done in an hour and were cheaper than me hiring the stump grinder from the hire shop.

Great video! My late father had his own tree removal buisness and he was the most level headed and genuine man I have ever met. You very much reminded me of him in this video,I kinda teared up at the end when you said "Always learn something new","Compliment people" and "Don't be an asshole". Sorry to sound corny but this video made my day, almost like my father was speaking through you to me. Thanks for the video and you have a new subscriber!

I really appreciate the time you take to explain these things, and to pass on your sage advice. I also live in the Midwest, St. Louis to be exact and about 40 years old. I’m changing my career everything I think I’m gonna buy a stump grinder and just grind them stumps a week or two ago my neighbor and I paid some guy $400 to do an hours worth of work and it wasn’t even an hour. It was more like 20 minutes of work. You know what I’m saying, and that was supposedly a hell of a deal for us so man I really appreciate your video. I hope you’re still doing great. The public servant attitude shows. Was grinding for 25 plus years on my off day from my 24 hour shifts with the LRFD. Massive heart attack has me out to pasture now. I did get the old Levco fuel filter changed and tank cleaned and the hole brazed in the tank and finally bled and ground five pretty big stumps for my neighbor who has helped me out when needed. Perhaps I can hit it little more but haft to improve a lot more. The one thing know to do after years of daylight to dark grinding. I tried employees also. Best just me as well. A lot of up keep and proper bite take longer but so much easier on the stump grinders as you have mentioned. Levco Doug.

Good day sir, a few days ago I hired a tree service company to remove a tree from my backyard. The tree service guy hired another guy to remove the tree stump that was left. I was very interested in the machine, I had never seen one and I had never seen how to remove a stump with a stump grinder. I asked him a bunch of questions and after he left I told my wife "that's what I wanna do, I want to have a stump grinding business". She is being very supportive and I'm super exited. I am still developing some sort of business plan and I look forward to your very helpful stump grinding business videos. I'm currently active duty and would like to get into this part time maybe do residential. My goal is to go from part time to full time and split up the residential jobs with the private company jobs. Kind of what you are doing. PLEASE keep up your videos. my wife and I look forward to what you have to say about your experience, success & failures. what not to do that kind of stuff. I’ve done a lot of work since my last comment brother. I bought a rayco 1625 35hp engine. I’ve been sniffing the stumps out. I’ve been working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Madison, Wisconsin done work in Freeport Illinois the Quad cities and all the small towns around my area. Me and uncle Inlaw just got back from portage Michigan, where the tornadoes hit a lot of wind damage out there honestly bro if it wasn’t for your videos, I probably wouldn’t be out here hustling and bustling like this, listening and watching you definitely gave me that drive I needed. Keep on stumping. Stumping is life

Ahh shit brother, I am glad you don't listen to the haters. Non of us knows what we are doing coming out of the gate! It's awesome that brothers like you take the time to educate the next generation cause shit! That's how it has worked for centuries, I love when someone asks if I want to know or learn something. Heck ya I do, any advice that makes my adventures/life funner, easier, better and smoother I am so on board to learn that next lesson! So on behalf of anyone who listened to your advice and will take some forward with me, thank you very much! It is greatly appreciated

Wow, great video. I'm replacing the jackshaft on my son's Vermer 252 and thought there must be a way to sharpen all these teeth they have. Anyway I started watching your videos and I'm hooked. I'll be subscribing when I get done this comment and looking for the winning friends and Influencing people book. Keep up the great work.
