It’s sad to see this beautiful home being left to decay. I never knew that tower was called the “widow’s walk”….we can appreciate the craftsmen who did such beautiful wood work….rarely seen today. Thanks for sharing with us! 😊
I wish objects and places could write their stories for us. The people who came before, the memories made within. How beautiful you can bring something back with these videos.
@@danadelaplante6797 wish I could sit at a table with the very people who lived their in their best garments and hear the way they speak and what was important to them at that time. Sucks seeing our living history dying everyday without their stories being told
Very sad to see homes like this abandoned and falling into disrepair. You can tell, just by the fact that it's still standing, that it has good bones still.
Only a time machine set to sometime in the 40s or earlier could really tell the story of this exquisite home. Since we haven't yet invented a time machine, I can only imagine the families, children and friends that once enjoyed this lovely home. Thank you for visiting this old Victorian place, Brent. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I remember when you first explored this house. This was a home to be proud of. They must have done quite well given the size of the house and barn. Thanks for taking us back again.
I guess since it's going to be torn down by a developer it doesn't really matter anyway, but it's such a shame to me when a beautiful old house like this gets trashed by people. Thanks for sharing it before it's totally gone!
I am so glad you went to this one again! Thank you Brent. it is sad how much decay and vandalism have been added since the last time. Hopefully the current owner will update it to make it as beautiful as it once was soon. That would be awesome! 😊👍
Wow! Can’t believe all the vandalism since you were there last! 😢 I don’t know if it’s because it’s Halloween 🎃 month, but all the dead flies and bees 🐝 makes me think there’s something Paranormal in that house!!👻 Too bad that the house was abandoned, with a little update and lots of money it could have been a beautiful place still!!😢😢🎃🐝🪰
I was thinking the same thing when he mentioned all the dead flies and bees!! I wonder why people who achieve success and buy beautiful homes abandon them?
Hi Brent This house must have been a beauty once upon a time. Too bad is was left to sit and waste away. That barn was huge. Nice work Brent. I really like your videos but you don’t post much. Your videos are always interesting and enjoyable. I wish you would post more. Stay safe and well.👍🆒🎃
Love these old Victorians, the fewer “updates” the better. Many people were born and died in their homes back then. Think of the lives that took place and passed through those rooms. Thanks for showing us history that will soon be gone!
Such a beautiful place Brent! The Widow's Walk is my favorite as well. I'd use that as a quite place to read and or crochet. Just seems so peaceful with the outside view. Thank you so much for the revisit Brent, it's still an amazing place. Thank you for all that you do for us and all the beautiful places that you've shared. Stay amazing Brent!🤗
This place must have been beautiful in its day. So sad that its end is like this. That barn is massive, must have had a large number of animals that it sheltered. Thanks, Brent
Thanks for the return visit.. Probably won't be long and it will be rotted down..but the widow's stairs are pretty neat..The barn is a massive one..Looking forward to more abandoned homes..TY for all you do..❤
I love Victorian houses, and this is a beauty inside and out. This must have gorgeous back in its day it looks salvageable,it's always developer's who want to destroy beauty, and put up plain and ugly, what a waste!! Thanks Bret great video 💯👍
Nice to see this house in the daytime. Always at night. This is one of my favorite haunted locations. Cannot remember if i saw that new decay before, might of. Come here at night, bad stuff happens. House is a beauty, i love it. Also known as the Witchs's house. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i remember you exploring this the first time Brent and yeah Nature is really starting to take it back, since the last time,,, its sad, what a beautiful place this must have been back in it's heyday it's a shame that people have to go in and ruin it with all the damn Graffiti
thanks for sharing this with me Brent this place was very amazing it is to bad this place it decaying away thanks for sharing video with me and God Bless.
There you are ,,😊,, i been waiting for ya,,im happy i get to watch a video by you i love watching them,,,it was awesome to see thanks for making my night , and it does look like the adams family house Cheers❤❤❤
You had me @ hand carved. 😳😂😘 What a unique older gem it would of been in its day.... Sad how they are just left to wither away, with time. Thanks for all the great videos as always handsome. Fan from East Coast 🇨🇦
Thx for the explore. I would have loved to seen that house years ago when it was lived in! The whole place is pretty, the woods and the barn. Too bad it has gone to ruin.
AWESOME. Old homes and their history always seem so exciting with the wonders & adventures of the past. Perfect for the season. This house is full of beauty and history.
What a shame it has been vandalised. I remember when you last visited. Lovely house. Did anyone else hear a voice at the 15:30 mark when you were in the basement?
These videos always evoke emotional feeling's in me not sadness but more haunting" people lived, loved, and laughed there and now the house just sits there empty and alone" thanks for your time Brent"!👍💯😎
Woow ooh yes it is that beautiful house, but in a much worse condition than it was before every part of the house is special in its own way,but my favorite part is the tower so sad and a such a shame for this house to go down 😏 you're as always standard the best my favorite explorer 👍😁 Big kiss and hug for you from Serbia 🇷🇸❤ Take care and be careful ⛑😁🇨🇦❤
love this place!!! so sad that many of the videos of yours i've watched with these beautiful homes and land just sitting and rotting while they wait to be demolished and "developed". wish they were being saved and restored instead. so many of these could be turned into purposeful communities.
What a beautiful house! I love the craftsmanship that used to go into these works of art. So sad it’s abandoned. And that barn is magnificent! I love old barns. Such a part of life that is almost gone.
I love this kind of ol time piece home. It is so wonderful to see how hand carved each piece was. Thanks Brent love this video and thank you for showcasing this home and the widows walk.
Interesting color scheme in this house. The widows walk is really neat. Unfortunately that’s some of the most vulgar graffiti I’ve seen in an abandoned house. 😞 beautiful architecture, and floorplan. And I remember that baby vulture hissing at you in the barn. Thanks for the explore!
Nice house. The importance of a metal roof was very apparent in this video as far as decay goes. They may have been using the barn for hunting. There are probably a few deer that stroll by now and again.
Just a bit of architectural info. A widow's watch or walk is actually a flat area on top of the roof outside that is accessible by stairs and would have a railing around the perimeter. The feature in this home is simply a tower. Quite common with Victorian and Italianate designs. If the tower-like feature starts above the main floor and doesn't continue all the way down to the foundation, it would be a cupola instead of a tower.
HELLO neighbor .!!! Brent . i see the fuel oil tank in basement is not in bad shape at all . i see a lot of guys turn them into grills or woodstove for there shops .
Please don't ever change your theme song at the beginning of your videos. Just hearing it makes me smile in anticipation. Thanks for taking the time to blur out the more offensive graffiti. Thanks so much for all of your great work! It's very appreciated.
