I know! My parents call it "the hotdog plane" because it's so long and relatively thin but still quite wide, wide enough to accommodate 8 seats across in a 2-4-2 configuration!
Great video! The engines essentially strap a A330 fan with a B777 engine core, producing a brilliant roar at takeoff but being incredibly quiet during cruise.
Wow! What an experience. Vancouver is such a beautiful city & Lufthansa delivered a beautiful take off, climb and views of the city in a stunning twilight. Whoever shot this video, thanks for sharing!
Utterly fabulous! Perfect light, glorious scenery and the climb through the cloud layer is mesmerising. I would love to visit that city, come to think of it, just getting on a plane again would be more than agreeable.
Radically different view than from the A340-300, the engines are much larger and the wings are too. The wings on the A346 are the exact same shape but they're dilated up a few percent from those on the A343.
The A340 will be missed, such it was a nice aircraft to fly, even thought it was low to get high altitude. Those videos will be collector for the next generation👍✅
Great video thank you . Just saw Virgin Atlantic 340-600 video and the takeoff was not as loud as the Lufthansa , I am assuming they have the same engines?
There might be the chance actually. Lufthansa will be operating 5 Airbus A340-600 out of Munich as of next summer. Maybe they dispatch it to YVR ;) Who knows!
@@FueltoNoiseGenerator The last time I took this flight with Lufthansa A340-600 was in September 2016. We have a summer home in Greece and I usually fly Air Canada with an AC connection through Toronto. Next time I go I may try the A350. Never been on one. Thanks.
