Hi watch fans and welcome back! What we have today is one of the coolest looking g-shocks released in 2019 which is is part of the G-STEEL collection. The GST-B200G-2ADR. Besides the typical features it is also solar powered, it can connect to your smartphone and it has a resin/carbon fiber mid-case and if you don't want to spend 600+ on an MTG this one could be a great alternative.

Thanks for the great review of a watch I REALLY love! The GST-B2001A (silver with resin band) is the first G-Steel I bought, and it's still my very favorite G-Steel. I really love the earlier G-Steel GST-B series, I have the 100, 200 and 300, but they lost me after the 400. The absence of the second hand and the shrinking digital displays are reasons I'll probably never get the 400 and 500. The 600 is a little interesting to me, but nowhere near as attractive as the earlier ones. The GST-B200 is the G-Steel I'd own in EVERY colorway if money were not an issue! 😀

The gst-b200 is one of the last great affordable g-shocks in my opinion. There are other models that I really like but they're much more expensive. For example the mrgb3000 black with gold accents 😍. Btw, it sounds like you've got a nice g-shock collection 💪🏻👌🏻

50 g-shock is pretty impressive. If you have an Instagram I'd happily follow you. After posting this video I ordered the gd-100-1ber which was my first g-shock about 9-10 years ago but I sold it for no reason and regretted it ever since. May I ask what are some of the models that you are especially happy/lucky to own? Maybe some limited or rare model? Thanks for commenting!

I've own a few gshocks and Protreks over the years. From the Gravity master I just gifted to my cousins son cause he started basic training in the Canadian Armed forces to the GST-200 on a metal bracelet I just won a bid on from ebay. I got tired of the battery changes so I've narrow my watch collection down and sold off almost everything that isn't solar or a couple of autos that have sentimental value. Getting one of my Autos serviced last year quickly detered me from going further down that rabit hole in the future unless its something really special. Currently I own GWM5610 - atomic and solar...whats not to love. Its the digital equiv of a Rolex Exploreer IMO. Timeless and iconic. I put it on a combi bracelet Rangeman GW9400-1 - I put strap adpters on that so I could put it on an elastic paratrooper strap. GST-B200D-1A - just won on ebay. floor model from a dept store, I got it for just under $200 and looks to be scratch free. Protrek PRT-B70-2CR - great watch if you like fishing....i just wish it was solar...hence its probably going to ebay even though I love the fishing feat. PRW-30-1A (JDM) - Love the watch.....so much that I wear it over the 5600 since I can put any strap on it without adapters. I wish it wasn't jdm. PRW-6600Y-1A9CR - amazing watch especially for the price. Put it on a Barton canvas strap and its my go to anywhere watch. Light/durable and great for predicting snowstorms this to the barometer. Between it and my citizen nighthawk they are almost permanent fixtures on my wrist. In the future I plan to pick up titaniumProtreks PRw-60T and PRW-70T plus an MTG-B1000D-1A. It'll take a couple years but I think I'll be done for a while after that. But I'm sure Casio will tickle me with something before long. 😅😅

Sounds like you've got quite a few nice casios. Have you got an Instagram? I'd love to have a look at some of them. I just bought a gw-9400dcj rangeman. It was difficult to find but I finally got one used, mint condition for 250 eur. Should be with me at the end of march as it's coming from very far away, Thailand. I feel like I'm going to enjoy owning it very much. I was literally just looking at the 70yt protrek and the PRW-50FC-1ER. The latter I can grab for 380 eur brand new.

Mine still looks like new. But I have to admit I wear it occasionally and I don't swim with it. G-Shock platings usually are very durable though.

I have a GST-B200 (silver) and a GST-B200B (black). I like both very much. If I can find this one for a good price, I may get it as well. GST-B200's glass is almost flush with the bezel, so scratches are, indeed, a concern. I put glass screen protectors on both watches for that reason.

That's a nice pair you have. I've never scratched a g-shock crystal before but on all my other watches they're not as exposed as on the gst b200. I'll have to check out these protectors.

Both 😬. The gstb200 is all metal and it will ding and scratch more than the ggb100 but it's solar powered. I like the ggb100 a lot especially the orange one and it's more feature packed. Tough choice mate as they are a bit too different. Which one are you leaning towards?

I've had it or 8 months or so and I wear it about once a week. So far no problems. I think if you wear it as a daily the black bezel may fade but not the rose gold plating.

To wear daily I'd say the silver is the better option as it will hold up better to everyday wear and tear. To wear in a rotation with other watches get the gold. Of course, that's just my opinion. Go with the one you like the most 💪🏻

Difficult to say as it depends on how you use your watch. If you don't often go into water it will last a long time. Whatever the case is, it will last a few years at least.

Difficult to say as it depends on how you use your watch. If you don't often go into water it will last a long time. A few years at least.

Love it but no sapphire = no buy Worrying about scratching a g shock shouldn't be a concern but it would be with this. Its a little too pricey to whack it against walls without worrying about scratching the crystal

For what it's worth, I've had my GST B100 watch for over a year, wear it very often, and I just checked the crystal.... not a mark on it! While I'd also like sapphire, it's held up fantastically well.
