I've been trying to play catch-up with your vlog for the past month or so. Really enjoying both your character's, we are about a year behind at the moment but catching up fast. Although my wife & I have been together for around 37 years, we were married at Gretna Green 5 years ago on the 21st of August. Just the 2 of us without even telling our 6 kids who are all grown up. Would be unbelievable if you can wish us a belated 5th wedding anniversary. Rob she looks after me well & still gives me loads of snogs. We're from bonnie Scotland. We have exactly the same van as you, only a year older. I installed two 100 amp hour lead acid batteries connected in parallel (making 200 amp hour total) which power us off grid for three to four days no problem. We don’t skimp on power use, we watch tv (for too long) in the evenings, if it’s cold we have the heating on which uses a pump plus whatever it needs in the boiler, we charge phones and cameras and of course we have lights on. The single solar panel on the roof copes well with topping the batteries up during the day. Last year we even went to the Great Dorset Steam Fair for six nights without electric hookup and the two batteries coped ok with that. So your 200 amp hour lithium battery will easily cope with a weekend away.

Great Vlog looks a great place and cheap too. Glad the new battery is working well. You need to upgrade solar controller. Even better news Lynn can use the lights rather than walking around with a lantern. Happy Holidays Both

Agree the showground could do with some investment, we stayed there a few months ago for the vanlife festival. The toilets were clean but showing there age. Didn’t know there was the museum, and I only live down the road in Telford.

Loved the video . The Showground has struggled financially for years . Lots of festivals held there and rallies seem to take place a lot . Vanlife festival was recently held there. Shropshire Scouts has their Water Sports Centre at the Showground where we provide canoeing for young people on the river as we access the water from the site. We have also had two international jamborees at the Showground. The sheds you saw are used as agricultural shows are held there as well as horse shows . The site does need some investment but it struggles .

As the trees are changing the colours already , so sad I dread the cold & the wet weather because it means I am just stuck in the house all the time & being disabled it does get lonely & the light soon starts to fade then we know winter isn't far away , so Lynn please cheer me up with some lovely food recipes I can try out for the long winter ahead & Rob have you noticed the Holly is full of red berries already you know what that means a bloody cold winter ahead ! But I am sure you 2 will keep each other warm in the Van & find lots of games to play when the snow ❄️ starts coming our way bloody dreading it! It's just to expensive to stay warm & choose to eat ! Rob, I did enjoy your review of the electric bike. However, I was concerned that it appeared that you were not wearing a helmet. In NZ, when you ride a bicycle on the road, the law requires riders to wear a helmet. I suppose Lynns response would be if you had fallen off, you would bounce. 😅

And if you go to Shrewsbury again, do go to the prison tour, I went a few years ago and it is excellent, n they locked me in a cell! 😂! 😳.. and now they have a cell escape room which includes the tour too. With the Net gear do you have to pay for another sim card for it or what is the best way to use it. We just currently use my phone that has unlimited data. Other than your meet up we have always had data but the net gear might be a nice add. Great Vlog. Yes cant knock a curry Vlog. Have you got a videos on your cadac. We bought one about 12 years ago and maybe used it once in the garden just to try it. We bought it off someone its like new. Theres all different trays etc with it. We went away in our tourer the other week and i said about getting it out. But im sure we wont need all the trays with us? As they are also heavy.
