oh wow... thanks for coverage.. I was thinking to cover for ubuntu but since youve made already can I post a link of this video on the readme? Anyway, just a small correction, the waybar fonts will adjust if you adjust the font size using nwg-look... but to edit waybar fonts, need to edit the styles inside ~/.config/waybar/styles folder since the config and styles in ~.config/waybar/ are only symlinks to the configs and styles thanks for pointing out the rofi power.. I think Im gonna bring back the wlogout again 😂 or will just keep on the center Im gonna edit the readme to add the link for the theming edit: I have now set to install wlogout and use wlogout as powermenu instead of rofi-power

I also changed now to rofi-wayland cause on my initial build, the rofi seems fine but when I tried it again, it does not look nice and starting to not match on the settings I have I also now switched to wlogout and currently tweaking the looks thanks alot again bro ❤️❤️❤️

Great tutorial! I have a question: how do I stop the automatic theme cycling? The themes keep switching and changing everything like the waybar, background and colors. I've searched for these options but couldn't find them anywhere. There's another problem. It seems some apps are stuck in light mode, like the top bar of VS Code and other applications. The rest of the apps are dark mode, but the UI elements from Ubuntu itself are probably using a white theme. I don't know how to change it. 🙃

It is hard to say but, on login manager you are given hyprland as a additional UX to select from, updates only concernes kernel, bug and security fixes, and newer versions of DE..so there is possibility that hyprland wont be affected..that bothers me too if i knew for sure that it wont be removed from selection ill install it right away:D

as soon as i installed ubuntu and tried this out, it did not work at all, i now just have a zsh theme installed and that's all... hyprland doesn't even show up in the ubuntu session manager.....

If you are ready to fix problems and issues, then get Nvidia if you want. But if you want a flawless linux experience, I highly recommend amd. Not to say either company is better than each other, both have pros and cons, but just if you aren't willing to do a lot of fixing and stuff, you probably shouldn't go for Nvidia.

Nvidia will always have problems with linux one way or another...going with amd ensures a much more stable and working linux pc.

btw, at ~2:18, instead of manually uncommenting, you can press CTRL + \ and then type "# deb", then replace with "deb", and finally press the key that says all

You should create a time shift backup first then try this if this fails, go back to the previous version, now you have to delete things manually, and that suck!

I am using fedora-hyprland from the same author on my laptop for fedora 38. My battery backup has become worse. In gnome it was worse as well but I used auto-cpufreq. Any remedy?

Yes, I tried on my old PC. *Specs* intel i5 3500 8GB DDR3 1333 MHZ RAM NVIDIA GT 730 2GB VRAM Samsung evo SSD 250GB. It was not that smooth on 60HZ monitor.

On M1 Mac you can only install Linux on internal SSD not possible from running via USB

Hey, im facing an issue with the wallpaper, it doenst show an image and instead shows a gray background, i've tried looking into the hyprland configuration files but i cant seem to figure out why this is happening. When i try to change the wallpaper it kinda does the animation but no image is displayed, just the gray background. Can someone help me?

I think something has missed. Anyway do one thing, Press CTRL + ALT + F2 or F3 or F4 or F5 to open tty and login with your credentials. Then type *Hyprland* (H is capital) to launch Hyprland session

There are three Main Linux Distro leaders: *DEBIAN* *ARCH LINUX* *RED HAT* Debian based Linux Distros such as Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Kali or any use *APT or DPKG *package manger to install packages stored in their repositories that are tested by them. Same goes with Arch Linux that uses *Pacman* and Redhat uses* RPM, YUM, DNF*.

Do one thing, from login page, press CTRL + ALT + F2 or F3 or F4 or F5 to open TTY. Then login to CLI using your credentials. And type *Hyprland* exactly what I said. let me know if it loads Hyprland ENV

@@Shivam-to8wc yeah sure. You can find the crash report in your home, it is in the hidden folder named ".hyprland". If you cant see it, you must make hidden folders visible; on the gnome's standard files application it is just press ctrl + h. Inside the folder you can find the crash reports in txt format; there will be more than 1 if you have tried and failed more than once; in the end of those txt files you can see what is going wrong. To fix my keyboard layout, i went to "~/.config/hypr/configs/Settings.config" and changed the first line inside the input area. You can find it by pressing "ctrl + f" and typing "input" inside the bar

You need to either restore the backup if you have made it with timeshift or clean install the ubuntu.

Hey I had a question. How stable will this be on a dual boot system? Will this even work on dual boot? Coz last time I installed ubuntu 23.10 on dual boot, the screen had this weird glitch where everything other than the session changer would go white making the system inaccessible and I had to end up deleting ubuntu.

I got to here to ask about this issue... I tried arch version of this script. Wallpaper and sound was working but it was flickering. I wanted to try ubuntu version. There are some weird issues. 1- Wallpaper does not work 2- Hint popup opens very small size. I can increase its size. 3- Sound does not work. There is a sound coming from speakers but it is very low. 4- Brightness command worked only for keyboard brigthness not for screen brightness.
