People seem to find themselves funny when they cannot afford a supercar, they make stupid offers on them thinking they are original. Eh, sometimes it's funny but it does make it a hassle trying to find legitimate buyers for expensive cars. Let's go over some of the most recent offers made on the Ferrari 458 Speciale we had for sale, along with some of the other Ferraris and supercars we sold recently.

I used your procedure when selling as well. I had my lambo up for sale and said no test drives without proof of insurance to cover a lambo and a non refundable deposit. This eliminated all the tire kickers and those who cannot afford the car and just wanted to drive one. I think that is an excellent method. Great vid as always

Makes sense. That said, while I can afford an F430, I would not buy one without driving one. So that means I'd have to take a serious test drive from someone who has that built into their cost and then be a jerk and make my purchase from someone who has not. As much as I like a good deal, I would not do that to someone. If they help me understand the car and seriously evaluate it, then I believe they deserve the premium they built into their price. I also have no issue with taking the drive but in the end deciding an AMG GTC is what I really prefer after driving it as well. If I were NG Supercar, I'd do the same. I think by definition it means he caters to more qualified and knowledgeable buyers. Not a first time buyer.

If it makes you feel any better, any time I sell anything (not cars) on FB marketplace, I get scammers, jokesters, low-ballers, silly offers, etc. I started adding a photo at the end of my listings with specific instructions on how to contact me and make an offer. If they don’t swipe to that photo and follow the instructions, I ignore it. It’s been surprisingly helpful. Anyone serious about buying is going to review all the photos. But of course, then you miss all the clowns! What fun is that?

The real issue is he’s doing this on purpose specifically for content, he knows he doesn’t have to entertain stupid offers but it’s content and people making him offers know he’s going to use it for content.

Why would I limit advertising? I have sold plenty of cars through Facebook so not advertising on it would be dumb. I don't WANT stupid people making stupid offers, it's just a side effect that I might as well capitalize on.

I sold my 991.2 GT3 on Facebook, however, it was to the one person who took it seriously, another dealer. It would be good to create your own supercar selling group that you can moderate reactions from. My buddy started an E46 BMW group because the other groups were terrible. Took a year but now has 30K + in there and no laugh reactions. @@normalguysupercar

Try selling motorcycles. $45k Ducati SP2 will get offers of an 86 3 series BMW, $2k down, and they promise to pay the rest in payments. The payments are "guaranteed" as he has someone who bought his bike who is paying him payments. That's just one of many.

I get faux/ridiculous offer type communications on real estate. The onslaught of these types of BS communications is so frequent that I’ve had resort to blocking them once I’ve positively ID’d them as BSers or total scammers.

Yeah I know how frustrating is answer to everybody once you are selling your cars, most of times, some are really rude. Yesterday after a ridiculous offer for my limited edition car a guy has started to send me quotation of a different model, saying : “you see I can find cheaper, so sell me yours at same price. I told him, Sir it’s wrong car! Similar but not the same… His answer: Sorry I’m really busy I didn’t check details. He was busy poor him…we are not eventually ahah😅

Gosh Dan for a guy in His 40s You are so nice and tranquil! By my mid 30s I had coined a phrase in my daily business dealings "Don't call Me unless You have money!" It worked and weeded out lots and lots of riff raff 🌞 I am over 50 and old now... Retired! Hang in there Your company and business model are going to succeed in the Ferrari marketplace!

I’ve Sold 8 cars online in the past few years, I don’t get the Trade for a Happy Meal offers, but every time I get crazy trade for some POS, or prince of Zimbabwe check is in the mail, as well as typical low ball offers. I got to the point I created several “artfully crafted replies” that I can copy and paste. Saves a lot of typing and seldom do they respond.

I just hope all the "noise" you get by running a retail markieting channel over the medium of the internet is worth it. In the 458 scenario would your ultimately successful buyer have found you without your website? Unfortunately, this may be a case of having to take the rough with the smooth; but you seem to be doing the right thing by monetizing the noise into channel content so I hope you can grin and bear it.

On a serious note let me know if you guys ever need a vehicle transported. We have driver's always stopping in Texas during their coast to coast routes. Fully insured and enclosed. Specializing in high end and luxury vehicles. Twenty two years in the business.
