@BoringReviews Countdown is a British game show. The main round a contestant chooses 9 letters either a vowel or consonant. Using each letter selected once, they have 30 seconds to come up with the longest word - which must be in the dictionary. The other round is a contestant chooses 6 numbers. Using only basic mathematics (+, -, ×, ÷) they have to reach a random selected number. Again they can only use each number once and within 30 seconds. 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, is exactly the same as above. However instead of members of the public. It is comedians

That Family Feuds/Fortunes one when they had to name a famous Irishman was part of a show that gave me one of the best laughs I have ever had in my 69 English years and it involved the first of the failed contestants, later on in the show, where he excelled himself.I don't want to ruin it, in case it is in a sequel but it was a truly bizarre set of co-incidences:)

Has to be 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, it is hilarious. Also reacting to On the Buses is going to be an odd one, it didn't age well as a series it is very stuck in the seventies and you have to watch the series from the start and doesn't really have many stand out moments but good luck with it.

I was a kid back then and everyone at school loved 'On the Buses', but I watched an episode fairly recently and you're right, it hasn't aged well. The actors were very good though. I can still do my Blakey impression. It's the only one I've ever done well but the opportunity to use it is *extremely* rare living here in the US! lol Ditto doing Frankie Howerd's "Oooh missus!" when someone makes a double entendre. And as for Kenneth Williams' "Mmmatron", ...well, you get the idea.

I found some episodes of Catchphrase on RU-vid, but more importantly I found the full clip that was partially shown in the video above. The game where people were laughing at the cook and Death in the kitchen (seemingly doing something inappropriate), and trying to guess the answer, is shown FULLY in this: Funniest Catchphrase Ever! | Catchphrase Mother's Day 2014 | ITV Catchphrase | Full HQ The Channel the video is on, is called - J World TV Live Video Length = 09:51 minutes The full segment is 09:51 minutes long, so it should give context to what you were watching, give you resolution to what they were laughing at and you also get to see what the actual game is properly. Love the reactions, even though it wasn't the greatest video to react to. This reply is longer than intended, but I may as well mention a short *Christmas Themed* clip from Cats Does Countdown, while I'm typing this; Try - "Carrot in a Box" Jimmy Carr IN TEARS After Game with Sean Lock & Jon Richardson! | 8 Out of 10 Cats The Channel the video is on, is called - E4 Video Length = 04:22 minutes Hope you both have a great day. Stay Awesome!!

You're right, Jodi, Saoirse Ronan is, indeed Irish, although she was born in the Bronx, which made her appearance in the movie _Brooklyn_ even more interesting for me. I have noticed that Americans can struggle telling Scottish and Irish people apart, but there's no excuse for British people to give such poor answers. BTW, the man who guessed "Disraeli" (an English-born Prime Minister of the late 1800s) also appears in a clip later from the same show where he gave "turkey" as his guess for almost all the answers in the final prize round.

The first two Catchphrase clips were totally contrived and copied from a classic example from a much older episode. The 'cock' and 'dick' clips were equally predictable and unspontaneous and not in any way hilarious. The guys got it right when they said the "Apes" answer was the first funny clip.

@@4Kandlez - It's nothing to do with "woke", whatever the hell that means these days, but because it's just no longer funny.
