Stupid Way to Buy Sneakers = Credit Card DEBT!

A less than intelligent way to buy a WANT in #sneakers is definitely racking up #creditcard debt to do so with really high interest rates. You might actually be better off paying resale for that #jordan #nike or whatever else the brand may be.

Credit cards is probably an American thing. I personally never had a credit card. If I can't pay right away I can't buy it. It's only in the recent years that you can do things like after pay. Sure you got get a loan or you would have to have a very good job/income. I've been hearing credit card stories from Americans sinds the late 80's. But if you could get a very hyped collab like a Travis Scott the difference might be 50/100 with all the fees. For some people it's worth it. ❤

Buying something with a CC isn't inherently bad. Many of us do this based on protection that a CC provides, rewards and more. Making sure you are not paying interest on any of those purchases, like sneakers is very important.

8K debt is actually not bad. Leverage 12+ month interest free card offers to pay property taxes or big expenses and never pay interest on it. You can also use that debt for interest free investing, and yes, that may include shoes you plan on reselling. Just be smart and don't stack it to the point you lose control or it begins to acrue debt.

Well people aren't leveraging that if they are paying interest, nor would banks be racking up billions in interest if people were responsible across the board like that and they are not. Carrying that with interest is bad for the avg person and we are seeing that with debt rising.

I think paying big money for sneakers is one of the stupidest things imaginable. I buy sneakers about 3 times per year and rarely spend more than about $8.00.

Paying a price that meets the value you want is always important. That value will be subjective and what's a lot to one person won't be a lot to another. I always keep that in mind.

@sailorbychoice1 some ppl buy sneakers why others spend money on different things, fishing equipment, building a race car, golf equipment etc. Some people spend hundreds at the bar on the weekend drinking as I do not. We all spend money on something we love.

Amen. I use to always buy all my sneakers with my credit. Dumb thing i did and left me in debt for ahwile but i did recover and only just pay with cash instead. If i got it , i got it. Of not oh well aint using my credit no more
