To all those bitching about production quality...it's SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE THAT. CRUNCHY...RAW...BEING TO MADE TO SOUND LIKE ITS BEING BEAMED VIA SATELLITE FROM 1945. THIS IS THE BEST STONER MUSIC IVE HEARD SINCE THE 70'S. THIS IS THAT "ONE" ALBUM.

This guy is evolving at a speed that defies physics...and he was already great to begin with.

I don't even care that sturgill sings country, this entire album is ROCK N ROLL! Plain & simple.

Sturgill is the fastest horse in town. Nashville? You got passed. Too slow. Not anyone or anywhere can catch this guy. Too fast, too talented, too much his own man. Rock on Sturgill! The new album sounds awesome.

You know it's a good album when you get to the last song and you don't want it to end.

Love that he brings back that samurai theme at the end, tying the whole album together.

I have had a lifetime of the darkest metal, punk, and industrial music. But I swear to whatever you got that is the first album of my life that has actually made me want to gleefully ignite the world ablaze, then lounge with a cold beer in its mountains of ash on a folding lawn chair, sitting next to an AM radio playing only Donna Summer, surrounded by charred cadavers and bright pink lawn flamingos. Fucking brilliant. Affecting. The truest poetry of the zeitgeist.

Fair to say, this is the best new hard rock album that I have heard in years.

This album was mindblowing. Its definitely not country. It's gone beyond that.

Sound and fury sounds unlike anything I’ve heard in quite some time and I’m a Tool fan, excellent album along with with anime concept... genius

In early 2020 despite the setbacks I started making enough money to finally spend without risk. That spring, I bought enough AV crap to build a screening room. Big tv, speakers, the works. I sat down and set it all up. Took a few hours. Once it was ready to go I opened Netflix. I discovered and watched Sound and Fury for the first time. I sat there through the whole thing just in awe. Huge screen and loud speakers filling a room that’s not remotely large enough for what I bought. When the final 30 secs of this song played, I cried. His message combined with the work I put in to what I knew was a vanity expenditure was overwhelming. I haven’t made any purchase nearly that vain, since. In fact, I picked a local food bank and just started dumping money into it. The callback to remember to breathe set me off. I was doing too much for myself. I still have my screening room, but I don’t cry when I sit in there.

Sturgil is a monster rock legend. Hope he goes full stage. Bethoven loves him.

My dudes. I'm not normally a fan of Sturgill but fuckin' hell, this entire album's tops. A year later and I'm still in love with it.

Listened today for a second time this album, i had a little bit of hesitation since the first time i listened/viewed was on Netflix and i thought i wouldn't like it because of the lack of the video part. Man the sound on its own is amazing, made me appreciate it even more, i think i'm going to see it a second time on Netflix (just like Love, death, robots). My hat is off, to this artist's talent...

I'm not a country fan... I like heavy metal and hard rock....But like Stapeton, this is beyond traditional country.... This is a mesmerizing Hendrix rollback....Dare I say even some Black Sabbath shadows exist here... I'm getting a contact high from this song..... And I'm in for the ride. Kudos brother..KOoooooDOS!

I just found this movie or I dont know what is it on netflix, but I watched this high as fuck and it completely blows my mind away, and the Music was all new for me, this experience was very pretty jeje

Love all these armchair experts on what’s “wrong” with the production and mix etc. it’s indicative of what’s wrong with society today. Instead of “this isn’t to my taste”, it’s now what’s “wrong” about it. Like it or not you can bet your ass it’s exactly what Sturgill intended.

Best album of the 21st century (so far)

So I discovered this on Netflix. I was a country DJ for over 20 years (before Sturgil's time). I have heard none of his music except what's on this album. WOW! I can't wait to hear his other stuff.... but this is gonna have to simmer into my brain several more times. DAYUM!!!

Saw Sturgill backstage at 2015 banaroo! loved him then and love him now! Him and Tyler Childers (saw him at The Gorge in 2016) are some of the best live acts i've ever seen.

If DODGE had any damn sense, they would have ALREADY signed this boy to some kinda 'MIchael Jordan/NIKE' type deal. This album jusr SCREAMS :"Muscle Car". I have a Charger and playing this loud and driving louder feels illegal. But I will keep doing it.

Extraordianry piece of music. The albm is fantastic. the Visuals on the lengthy music video are spellbinding. A brilliant mix of goth country and anime.

This album is a great variety of different styles of music strung together beautifully into a great masterpiece. It goes together with the animation perfectly. Don't let the big record companies dampen your creativity, not like I really have to tell you that though. You seem to have a good handle on that. I look forward to hearing more from you!

THIS is just too cool... not a country listener, but this is pretty cool awesome. Sturgill has have a beautiful awesome voice and creativity, regardless, but have to say this is FUN! AND ROCKIN. ROOUURRRUUHHHRRR! So "Tool" took a bit, and found the sound that NO ONE HAS!

Love the record. Saw 2 shows of the tour before covid shut it down. Night 2 in Asheville, and the last show he & Tyler played in Charleston. Really enjoyed the new record live mainly because vocals were much more prominent. The record does these songs very little justice. In a live setting it’s virtually impossible to deny how much rock & roll this really is. You’ve got close to, if not more than 2 hours of Sturgill just melting your face off
