Country has its bad songs, *cough* stadium country *cough cough*, but for the most part country is extremely emotional, and very heartfelt. It's sad the popular country can give country as a whole a bad reputation.
As someone who grew up in the 80s, I remember the original. The original was cool. Napoleon Dynamite revived it. But Sturgill Simpson gave it wings and made it soar into the heavens.
