I have so many fond Memories of being stationed near Stuttgart. I was stationed at Kelly Barracks in 1966-1968 when I was sent to Vietnam. I loved taking the trolley to Stuttgart, back then, you could walk through a woods to catch the trolley and while you waited for the trolley to come, you could enjoy a nice mug of Beer or wine and maybe some bread and salami. I so long to go back to Stuttgart, walk the many parks, stop by a bakery and enjoy the wonderful treats they have to offer. Oh to be young again, for me that was 50 years ago! (Dennis Morrison, from Ohio)
Glad to read so many people from all over the world sharing great memories and beautiful comments about my beloved home town and it´s people. I have been travelling to many places around the world and I still find Stuttgart one of the best places, with lots of warmhearted, friendly and funny people. I love my home town and I hope all of you can make it some day back to here.
I was in Stuttgart 24 years ago. The shots along the Königstraße brought back memories of when I was PCSing, I would wait there by the Landesbank on a bench for my then girlfriend who worked there to get off work, and then we would walk from there, thru the plaza, to either where she parked if she drove, or take a train to where she lived in Untertürkheim. My biggest mistake is I never went back for her, Thanks for the video.
Winfried Schilling I found her, or she found me on facebook a couple of years ago, when she heard through a mutual friend that I was looking for her. We still keep in touch.
The Cat's Lair I wish I could find my close friends there in forchheim Thomas sebastian Werner Daniel sebastian Werner and Gabrielle Werner it's would be a blessing to me
I had been to almost all the places in Stuttgart that has been shown in this video. I recalled all those memories of me and my family in Stuttgart! Thanks for the Video tho.
Great video! Worked in Remseck (Nord Stuttgart) and had the best time of my life in april/may 1988. I remember Charivari (pub/disco) and Olga Kinderhospital. In my next life i'm gonna live here.
I lived in Stuttgart for one month in 2014. Everything in there gives me the best memory. Nice weather, nice ice cream, nice people, nice host. I can't wait to go back there. Really miss you Stuttgart.
Very wonderful video from my hometown Stuttgart. You show Stuttgart from an another sight - that's very interesting. I like it too that you show the traffic in and around Stuttgart as special the subway (0:29 and others). Thumbs up and greetings from Stuttgart Matze
I think stuttgart has more culture than any other city I've been to,it's region has stronger industry than many small countries hard honest work made this place what it is,police never harrased me there thank you stuttgart I love you
+pabelox you are right, thinking of most of the inner city was "designed" by british bombers there is a lot to see which is not totally right represented in this video, also beside Porsche (the guy seems not to have been visited the Museum): Daimler-Benz_Museum, a lot of other Museums, Theaters, Operahouse...
@David hEIDSEMAN: And I would have thought that the cause of the destruction of german cities was that we started a war some years before and tried - among other things - to redesign the city of London by terrorbombing. Sending Bombers to bomb civilians was certainly not a british invention, and nothing we can complain about, but they sure perfected the idea of mass killing by very sophisticated firebombing. But it is up to them to deal with this part of their history.
I visited Stuttgart Germany many times. My last trip was in Sept 2016. Its very beautiful city full of fun. Most lively are is Koenigstrasse. One can not forget the beer festival of Stuttgart.
Cidade dos meus sonhos. Confesso que tenho um pouco de medo. Nunca saí do Brasil. Entretanto sinto que alguma coisa me atraí em conhece lá. STUTTGART é uma Cidade facinante. Quando eu aprender o Alemão vou enfrentar o desafio.
Hello, my name is Rita. I want to know if I can use seconds of your video in my project. It's a trailer for a book. Thank you Hallo, ich heiße Rita. Ich möchte wissen, ob ich Sekunden Ihres Videos in meinem Projekt verwenden kann. Es ist ein Trailer für ein Buch. Danke dir
Dude before the airplane scene at almost the end of the video was ludwigsburg! It's near stuttgart but it's its own town! Not cool mate! Other than that awesome video!
They must've shot this video on a Sunday, no way the traffic is always that smooth. Stuttgart is a great city, but has the second worse traffic in Germany right behind Mannheim. Stuttgart use to be #1.
This is a surprise for me to hear. I went in May 2015 and of course in the centre it was pretty busy but never ever seen cars piled up or anything... Going back in November so maybe I'll see a difference?
Maybe I'm being bitter because I have to drive through the center of the city in order to get to work. But there is SO MUCH construction going on here lately, it's disgusting. Hopefully by the time you get here it will be over. But I doubt it.
OK, please somebody help me here! I'm considering moving to Stuttgart. I have a great friend going there and I might stay with him, but I'm afraid that this video has already given me a clinical major depression before I even buy my ticket. Maybe it's just the music; like maybe if it were put to some Rammstein or Scorps I'd already be on the train. Right now I feel like I'd be entering a robotic, hygienic world where nobody speaks, and everybody walks slowly and drives Smart cars…but there's wine!
Hey :) i live in stuttgart nd was born and raised here nd the city is actually pretty busy :) the Shops are full of people , on the streets are streetdancers or Entertainers in General :) the city is actually pretty bright and friendly and Multi cultural with loads of hot german, turkish , spanish ... women 😊 so u will have a lot of fun there and meet a lot of new friendly people :) greetings from stuttgart ✌️
Jenisa lloyd Thanks Jenisa! That's a great review on Stuttgart and I'm very much inspired by your positive comments. My friend is already over there and having a great time, so now I'm thinking I should have gone sooner rather than later, but I've got obligations now until next year. I hope I can say that officially I now have 2 friends in Stuttgart. Thanks for your help!
You mean that you think of Stuttgart like thinking of an industrial town or a city? If that is your image of Stuttgart you are right. But there is a lot of hills (obviously), parks, trees and places nearby to go for nature.
Max Pe Thanks Max! I am definitely coming over for a visit barring some catastrophe. Can't wait! I can see people who live there are very pro- their city. That's a great sign. Thanks!
Mashiach Rocker hmm my opinion seems to be a bit different. I´m from stuttgart and I live here my entire life so far and I think that Stuttgart is very "german" whether positiv or negativ. Of course I don´t know where you´re from but the people here are definitly not open-minded like the people in the UK for example. The people in Germany have their very special own mentality and are not easy to handle in many situations. Like I said, I´m german, my parents are from germany and that´s just my opinion. But I wish you all the best in Stuttgart and Germany and hope you will be happy here. Greetings :)
could have made a bit more exciting don't you think ? .the music was rather dull, what no market vendors , missed a lot of cool places but over all not a bad video.
55% of American have German ancestors... Is what i heard... And as a white Person (If the Profile pic is you) in USA of course your ancestors were from europe
Fractal R it was very close. „Ich lerne deutsch und gehe im Sommer nach Stuttgart.“ or „ich lerne deutsch und besuche Stuttgart im Sommer.“ Wish you a good Time in my City of birth 😉
@@Affenkatze77 Tnx...I only learn german for 2 months now... But I'm afraid you won't like me much, because I'm gonna be a ''Gastarbeiter'' from Serbia haha 😉. As I know, you germans don't like us much...which is normal, considering there are millions of foreign workers in Germany. I will work as a ''Rettungssanitäter'' in Hamburg or Stuttgart. Wish you all the best !
Fractal R if you are a Hard working and Kind Person who Respect the law and german Culture, no normal german would dislike you. But anyway there are assholes in Germany, But they are the minnority. Enjoy your Time in Germany!
