My Dad was on an edition of Now You See It! He was the winner! For the uninitiated, this was a word game where the answers to the questions were hidden in a grid, and contestants got to look at it before they cleared the screen. The line was...'Now You See It...Now You Don't.' It was like a giant word search, but you had to give the line and the position of the answer! They should bring that back!
If I wish to add… _Now You See It_ was a Goodson-Todman format which aired on US television for 2 short runs (1974-75 and 1989). Only recently have discovered that it was “imported” in the UK and that STV produced that version - the only question is was it networked or only aired on the STV service area? (Central Scotland)
I noticed that STV showed the oh-so riveting and gripping Tyne Tees Sunday staple Farming Outlook. I'd have thought that given the size and geography of the Scottish audience, there might have been justification for their own farming magazine.
Just putting it out there...someone should totally launch a T.V channel dedicated to the days when Continuity Announcers were about, maybe hire on some new ones, to introduce old and new shows, but just executed in the proper old school way, startup music, idents, closedowns, the lot! It could be called something like Past Times. Maybe a blend of old and new generally! Telly Traditions T.V!
I love this tune its ace anyone know what's its called? The programmes there are better than the TOSH we get now a days. I heard Steve Hamilton many times on wheel of fortune.
